Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

dont know if there is any difference , but i ran a 6gt in my AX and its no issues whatsoever. idk if you can just grind the lip off the front to make it the same as an aw.

See the same thing in ATX rifles which have the AX mag.

Seems rifle to rifle difference though. Some say they seat 6gt all the way to the rear, most say they have to have them forward though.

I’m going to be following this closely since I’m also interested in the 6gt build. CDG is on order, and aw mags in hand, but I haven’t ordered the barrel yet.

Does anyone have input or thoughts on 6gt with a similar action/aw mags?
I’m doing a 6 dasher, I got Armageddon gear mag kit and the Aero chassis because it’s inexpensive and has adjustable latch 🤞

I picked up a .588 in left! (no I'm not lefty but never had a bolt action, and I'm too lazy to take my finger off the trigger)
This is gonna be a nice 338 lapua or 338 lapua impoved!

Found out about Preferred having prefits, and from reading here a company pva that I have to look into! (I'm halfway through the thread!)

I really like the front half of the xylo but the buttstock end is boring to me. I want a folder! I might just have to get it anyways.

I've read through this entire thread; could someone clue a newbie in on if/how the CDG would work with an internal box mag / factory Rem700 bottom metal? I want to build a hunting rifle, but not sure if I should wait for the "hunting" version if I'm only going to save a few ounces. Caliber would be 308-based.

Current iteration is AW/AICS compatible only, future hunting type might be BDL but is undetermined at the moment.

Yes they’re still up and running and doing great. David is on the hide. Shoot him a message or call them. @Deep South Tactical
Thank you! I bore scoped the barrel my buddy had and it was very nice and he got a good deal and I hadn't heard of hart barrels before he told me about them and DST. I know they're button rifled, but if I can get a nice deal I'll give it a try

Like CMP says, this version only works with a detachable magazine. If the CDG is going to be offered like the Mausingfield, the lightweight version will have a feed ramp to operate with in internal mag. BUT, that is purely speculation on my part. LRI(I think) sells an adaptation of an aics that is sort of like an internal mag, so that could be an option as well

Seriously, can we get a folding xylo already @karagias ?

Without the ability to put weights on it. You can have a better balanced rifle with less overall weight if the forend was longer.
I mean I like my xylo, especially the quick adjust LOP and cheek height. But that cheek is not good for the support side stages I usually see once a match. I like the recoil lug wedge, well done. However the chassis feels less stable than my envy pro and atx chassis. I run hvy comp or hvy varm profiles at 28" for all my match style rigs, and with a Ckyepod out on the arca most the time, I had no need for weights to balance. Then again, I'm content with a 19-20# gun fully ready to go. A lot of guys are running way heavier these days.

It shipped the same day of the order, zero wait. As I am in Europe the overall delivery including export permit and freight shipment through an exporter and everything was 34 calendar days. Not too bad.
Just ordered my Xylo, got a shipping notification with in 10 minutes of placing the order. :)

For the pivoting handle, what is everyone doing for a trigger? My initial thought was a Diamond 2 stage, but they looks like it may not work with the pivoting handle. Or just set it heavy I guess? My first dive into stuff, so trying to figure it out.

TT Diamond 2 stage. I thought I saw where the problem children were the single stage set very light.

I'd like to run a bna tac sport, but tried one on my archimedes with all 3 sear heights and could NOT get it to cooperate reliably. However the single stage diamond at 16oz runs like a champ.

Odd, I have 2 BnA tac sport 2 stages running perfectly in Archimedes. Using low sears based on my measurements, ARC's chart recommends the same.

What didn't work in my Archimedes was an XTSP mod 22, it caused horrendous drag opening and closing the bolt and it put so much friction on the cocking piece the firing pin was very slow and noticably down on energy. I think the sideplates of the mod 22 were contacting the cocking piece causing all the issues.

The mod 22 had been working just fine in my nucleus for about 3k rounds, I moved it and the barrel over to the Archimedes and the trigger was an immediate no go. Swapped it for the BnA and it's been great ever since.

My bna pro with medium sear drug like hell. The regular tac sport with low sear would drop the cocking piece upon bolt closure no matter what weight or sear adjustment I tried. I'd have to close the bolt with safety on, then turn off safety to get it to fucntion. F that.

What ounces pull do you run? I have a two stage in mine but I like my single stage Diamond also.
Don’t have a gauge so don’t know. Never had a gauge just go by feel. Like i said though I like to feel the trigger but it’s still dam light just not as light as it will go like lots of dudes run them. Sorry I can’t be more specific.
