How’s the balance with the Vision forend? It must have a bit more weight than the stock one.Got my mtr put together in this Bravo with a vision forend today. Haven't seen this setup before but I'm loving it. View attachment 8404912
So with one of their weight kits mounted all the way out at the front and a bipod it is almost perfectly balanced with the 20" mtr barrel. Without the bipod you would need two sets of weights. How’s the balance with the Vision forend? It must have a bit more weight than the stock one.
That’s pretty sweet. Any chance you’re selling the .stl file or sharing it?With all the mandatory reloads in NRL22 lately, I fired up the 3D printer and am testing a new mag coupler I designed. Working on getting quotes from a local machine shop for an aluminum version, but I'm not sure how much demand there would be for a group run of them... Thoughts?

Thanks! No, I don’t share the files for things I sell anymore. Have had them ripped off before and others start selling them. That’s pretty sweet. Any chance you’re selling the .stl file or sharing it?
Parts are at anodizing now... Hopefully shipping next week.@1911Shootist , that coupler looks sweet. How’s the project going? I could use a couple of those.
Nice stock. Makes me want to find one and replace the manners I have on my 457 for some reasonHere is a CZ 457 Jaguar I set up with iron sights, my best group at 50 yards is .308. I did shoot a 198/200 with 8X. S-K Rifle Match
Desert Precision Gunworks does this for sure and I think Zero Dark Precision as well.CZ457 rabbit hole question.
Is it possible to successfully thread the action to receive a threaded shouldered barrel on a CZ457 similar to a Kidd Supergrade? Is the action so pared down or the differences in the metals too great to try something like this? Has anyone done this experiment?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Thanks in advance.

DPG started threading actions. They shrink-fit the barrels not thread the actions

I’ll answer my own question since they finally got back to me. For anyone who’s interested, the La Chassis can fit 1.25” barrel diameter. I’ll let everyone know for sure once I get my build done.Anyone here have a newer version (Gen 2) Grey Birch La Chassis? I was wondering how large of a barrel it can accommodate before any modification has to be done. On a whim I took advantage of the limited blowout deal they were having on them a few days ago.
Just a rubber "ball" that I had lying around. Just to try it out. Might change it later, but so far it works all right. What bolt knob is that?
That is insanely awesome! You know we need more detailsI'll just leave this here...View attachment 8430493
CZ 457 Varmint 20" in a Krg Bravo back bone with a W3 folder and enclosed forend. That is insanely awesome! You know we need more details![]()
@502Chevelle can you confirm which arca rail you have on the manners? Ordered mine today, won't be in for a week.Yes it does. Screws right on.
Shooting friend of mine just got the same rifle in and installed an Area 419 Universal Weight-Tunable rail on. The Manners already had 3 t nuts installed.@502Chevelle can you confirm which arca rail you have on the manners? Ordered mine today, won't be in for a week.
thanks, I think thats the direction I'm going. Still thinking about the weighted rail tunable one though
Thanks! I’m looking at options for a rig for my son to shoot matches with me. I wish CZ sold just barreled actions. Action screws supported only by wood isn’t something I want to mess with.Pro varmint is just screws through wood.
Even the pillars that are in the MTR stock are soft. If you want the best performance out of your 457 you need to pillar bed it.Thanks! Thanks! I’m thinking of going with an HB Industries chassis, like they used to offer on the now-discontinued varmint precision chassis rifle. The problem is, after getting the chassis set up like I want and whatever cz 457 I can find, you’re into B-14R money. BUT, it’s easier to add weight to a chassis, for balance, than it is to add weight to the hmr stock to that comes on a B-14R.Even the pillars that are in the MTR stock are soft. I need something like that myself...A friend of my was looking for more weight up front for a Bravo based CZ457 he uses for Rimfire PRS. I roughed up an extra heavy spigot for him. A little ugly in its rough state but he is loving the new balance point. Comes in right around 4.5 pounds if I recall correct.
You do know that you can buy B14R barrelled actions don't you? The standard 18" steel ia about $650 and the 20" MTU SS is $1100. Then you can put in chassis of your choice. Thanks! Honestly I didn’t even think of that, mainly because I couldn’t find a barreled action and purchased the complete rifle for myself last year. You do know that you can buy B14R barrelled actions don't you? You can always sell the HMR stock, lots of people looking for one. The usually sell for $325-350 from what I have seen. There is a guy looking for one now on one of the forums.Honestly I didn’t even think of that, mainly because I couldn’t find a barreled action and purchased the complete rifle for myself last year.
