I’ll answer my own question since they finally got back to me. For anyone who’s interested, the La Chassis can fit 1.25” barrel diameter. I’ll let everyone know for sure once I get my build done.Anyone here have a newer version (Gen 2) Grey Birch La Chassis? I was wondering how large of a barrel it can accommodate before any modification has to be done. On a whim I took advantage of the limited blowout deal they were having on them a few days ago.
Just a rubber "ball" that I had lying around. Just to try it out. Might change it later, but so far it works all right. What bolt knob is that?
That is insanely awesome! You know we need more detailsI'll just leave this here...View attachment 8430493
CZ 457 Varmint 20" in a Krg Bravo back bone with a W3 folder and enclosed forend. That is insanely awesome! You know we need more details![]()
@502Chevelle can you confirm which arca rail you have on the manners? Ordered mine today, won't be in for a week.Yes it does. Screws right on.
Shooting friend of mine just got the same rifle in and installed an Area 419 Universal Weight-Tunable rail on. The Manners already had 3 t nuts installed.@502Chevelle can you confirm which arca rail you have on the manners? Ordered mine today, won't be in for a week.
thanks, I think thats the direction I'm going. Still thinking about the weighted rail tunable one though
Thanks! I’m looking at options for a rig for my son to shoot matches with me. I wish CZ sold just barreled actions. Action screws supported only by wood isn’t something I want to mess with.Pro varmint is just screws through wood.
Even the pillars that are in the MTR stock are soft. If you want the best performance out of your 457 you need to pillar bed it.Thanks! Thanks! I’m thinking of going with an HB Industries chassis, like they used to offer on the now-discontinued varmint precision chassis rifle. The problem is, after getting the chassis set up like I want and whatever cz 457 I can find, you’re into B-14R money. BUT, it’s easier to add weight to a chassis, for balance, than it is to add weight to the hmr stock to that comes on a B-14R.Even the pillars that are in the MTR stock are soft. I need something like that myself...A friend of my was looking for more weight up front for a Bravo based CZ457 he uses for Rimfire PRS. I roughed up an extra heavy spigot for him. A little ugly in its rough state but he is loving the new balance point. Comes in right around 4.5 pounds if I recall correct.
You do know that you can buy B14R barrelled actions don't you? The standard 18" steel ia about $650 and the 20" MTU SS is $1100. Then you can put in chassis of your choice. Thanks! Honestly I didn’t even think of that, mainly because I couldn’t find a barreled action and purchased the complete rifle for myself last year. You do know that you can buy B14R barrelled actions don't you? You can always sell the HMR stock, lots of people looking for one. The usually sell for $325-350 from what I have seen. There is a guy looking for one now on one of the forums.Honestly I didn’t even think of that, mainly because I couldn’t find a barreled action and purchased the complete rifle for myself last year.

Hope to have my new 457 MDT ACC next week!
What are you PRS/NRL guys using for magazines and magazine holders? I know some COF require a mag change and I’d rather not be fumbling in my pocket.
I've been using a SAP AICS mag pouch with a 3D printed insert that fits CZ mags, but now that I have couplers available, I can have a spare on the gun at the ready and do mandatory mag changes in only a few seconds.Hope to have my new 457 MDT ACC next week!

Aluminum couplers are back from hard anodizing and ready to ship! PM me if you’re interested! $50 for the aluminum version, $15 for 3D printed, free US shipping. 100% Minnesota made.
I got to give them a good test a 2 day NRL-X and a few regular matches with no issues. I’ll have them at NRL22 Nationals as well - there might even be one going with a prize gun

Thanks! I’ve got the manners mtr with the adjustable cheek piece and length of pull waiting on the scope. Area 419 sold out of their mtr’s quick! Not sure how often they get them but they go quick.^^^Looks good! If I had to do it all over, that is the route that I would take. When I bought my vpt , A419 was out of the MTRs. I should have called them and found out how much wait there was. Nice rig you got there.
No, but if you finds a place that sells replacement parts for them, let us know. I could use a couple pieces parts.Does anyone know where you can get replacement magazine springs for the CZ457 10 Round 22 LR Mags?
the detent spring and detent piece that hold the mags on are available from Diversified Innovative Products if you need those. No, but if you finds a place that sells replacement parts for them, let us know. I could use a couple pieces parts.
Yup, I do. Second what @502Chevelle said.the detent spring and detent piece that hold the mags on are available from Diversified Innovative Products if you need those.
Great news. Shared info much appreciated
I thought that I had read that Kenny guarantees his rifles to shoot .3’s at 50yds for 5 shot groups, so threaded action mated to the barrel must have potential.
Love the versatility of this platform.
Cheers!
