So according to the Gun Violence Achieve, a privately owned and run shithole that no one knows where they get their crazy numbers from. We've had more mass shootings this year than there are bullets.

Everyone says "we have to do something". No matter if it is unconstitutional or makes any sense or not. So in response to "We have to do something". The governor of California has formally introduced the 28th amendment which will effectively repeal the 2nd amendment.

What if in response to "We have to do something", instead of neutering the 2nd amendment. We neutered the 1st amendment but just a little. Whenever some crazy killed a bunch of people the news outlets were not allowed to make a gala event out of it. They were allowed to announce it happened, once and that was it. No 24/7 driving it into the ground until the next news story blew it off the front page.

Lets try this for three years instead of passing unconstitutional laws and and see if "mass shootings" decline. Because I think one of the biggest reasons we have these idiots killing people is because the news makes a show out of it. They advertise it.

I bet if they switched to a theme of " Are you a depressed loser? Why not hang yourself in your mom's basement?" If they ran with that story and drove it into the ground 24/7 I think the same mass shooters would end up swinging harmlessly in linen closets all over America.

Mass shootings will stop when there are enough armed citizens in any given people group who are willing and able to respond immediately to threats and neutralize the threat with precision return fire. That is the only way to stop mass murder acts of any kind, including vehicular murders.

That's what I was referring to with the "Gun Vilolence Archieve". It's a private company that reports whatever it wants, however it wants. It's not a government agency yet if you listen, every news outlet quotes them. They're a bunch of yahoos. Who believe these stats? They claim there are have been over 290 mass shootings so far this year. I just looked it up on their website. 290?! WTF?! There have only been 163 days since January 1st. That is 1.7 mass murders per day.

Also, the government now hides stats. The CDC no longer list the number of people who were defended by guns. Why did they take that stat out last year?

This causes a extreme amount of hate and depression, and a natural tendency to want vengeance upon said group no matter who they may be. Said political party just says vote for us and we have all these easy fixes that will make your life better immediately, then of course things only get worse because complex problems rarely have easy and painless solutions and then the mass shooting kaboom occurs.

2) Allot of parents have stopped their kids from failing, or at least convinced them they didn’t fail ie participation trophies. Failure is life’s best teacher, and unfortunately when these kids meet the real world at 18 and fail they are simply not prepared for it.

3) Allot of parents bend over backwards to excuse temper tantrums, leading to a mindset where if I go unhinged I will get my way. I spent more than a few times getting my ass busted growing up and never hated my parents for it and have lived a pretty good life.

4) 2 generations raised on mood and adhd drugs, this has completely jacked up the mental development of a large % of the last two generations, their brain chemistries have been permanently altered, and not in a good way.

5) last but certainly not least they don’t believe in God, so there isn’t a set of morals to which you have to answer for in the afterlife, life just ends then blackness which is depressing enough as-is.

1. I grew up watching action films and playing games like COD, Socom etc. While I don't think the games affected me in a negative way I do think portraying violence frequently can have a numbing effect.

2. Huge issue but will only get worse.

3. It is easier to not punish than to punish. Lazy/absent parents are a huge issue. I expect this is one of the biggest issues plaguing the black community.

4. ADHD drugs have their place but unfortunately they are overly prescribed (not enough scrutiny required for prescription) and abused. Some kids need them, most do not.
I don't know if studies have been done linking the two. What would be interesting is proper use vs abuse and tracking brain development.

5. Religion is not needed to have morals. It is good place to start though.

This sounds perfect until your a right leaning perp in a left leaning state, or vice versa. You want the same judge that gives your ex wife 80% of what you earned, plus the kids, to determine if you keep or lose a hand? In principle, I honestly think it is a fucking fantastic idea. The problem is corruption in justice. What do you think is the real number of people sitting in a cell for something they didn't do? Not the published number, but the real number. I'm pulling numbers from my ass, but I bet over 90% of cases are pleas, and I bet over 10% of those are people that agree to take some punishment to avoid serious time, when they didn't really do anything, or their involvement was not that critical in the crime.

The interesting thing about the killing of babies through abortions and the vast majority of “mass shootings” is that both are done predominantly by people who vote democrat. Conservatives typically have the viewpoint that all life is sacred and not to be taken unless one is faced with an aggressor in a life and death situation. Democrats, not so much.
