If the metric system is so great why do metric sockets worldwide use 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch drive ratchets ??

I'm good with Metric sockets but remember that all of them are driven by 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4 and 1-INCH + sized ratchets
Which handle is that? I've got a km94 with a bunch of attachments.

There are metric drive ratchets - 6, 9, and 12mm. If you look at the drives they're not square but rounded.
