Grills: charcoal vs pellet vs propane

love coal or wood never was a fan of gas I am sure I'd welcome even gas if it was our only choice to grill or not to grill you got to grill every time . but even coal briquette works on a range day to cook up some quick burgers or a hotdog or two and chicken god now this post has me thinking about food and getting hungry thanks lol.

I’m going to toot this horn again. I’ve lost track of how many bags I’ve burned through, that’s how much I use this gift from God. The last two were a turkey at thanksgiving that was smoked then bag finished on the smoker. It was done this way because the oven was being used for the sides. The last thing was ribeyes. I smoked these first(fucking amazeballs, try it) for about 45 minutes, let them rest while the grill heated up to searing temp, then seared for about a minute each side. This is what they looked like before I put it in me. I think I’ll be doing this from now on, provided I have the time

Started on wood then charcoal then propane.
I convert to Natural Gas this year. Easier, simpler and I can get a mesquite flavor by putting a small Mesquite log on the back. Very even cooking, I can sear on 1 set of burners, and can drill out the jets to sear on a second burner.
