So then you are saying that you told me i was wrong for no reason..... good job. Like i said my derrick experience is in workover not drilling. Although my uncle is the drilling coordinator for paladin energy.... i could make a call and find out most answers i need.
I've been told to go home by the cops, and some MPs. Fucking killjoys! Now days I just drink at home, that way no one can tell me to go home. I also never drink alone, I make sure at least one of the dogs is still here.
I cry foul. Shutting it down would be unsporting. Some of the fellers best at chasing each other down rabbit holes are just gettin started and I bet 25 cents on this thread going past five pages before they even joined in the fun. Give it a fair chance . . . if it dies let it die honorably!

No, I know there are no motors on a derrick. There are motors that run generators or pumps and even drawworks and rotary tables on a Kelly rig (workover size), but derricks are just derricks, like crane booms are just booms. And no, the bit in the derrick isn’t a motor. The bit screws into a motor (mud or air just like @Winningdog said), but that motor makes no noise.
I don’t know why people misrepresent what they do or where they’ve been, some sort of stolen valor high.
I finished laying down tools on this rig this afternoon. Our guys still ride the blocks, sure beats the alternative. We even do this thing called throwing chain. I don’t think I’m the guy who’s ignorant here.

There's your problem, right there. Unless you're a kiddie fiddler or some such, there's no reason to assume you don't deserve compassion or at the very least, understanding and commiseration. hmm.. you seem to confuse, easily, the difference between statement of properties and subjective perspectives. The latter being outside the definition of fact or truth. However, two people, who see the same colors on the spectrum, would indeed agree that the grass is green and the sky is blue, therefore, fact. Two facts in fact, that together, and independently, while concurrently, are absolute truths...
Where relativism comes in is the presence of abnormalities. Suppose we had a 1,000 people and the binomial distribution of how people see color supported our first two nature gazers - grass/green, sky/blue, the outliers would be the abnormals, those who are color blind as the tails get longer, the blindness worse. So, if we take one from the middle of the curve, and one from the extreme, we have two perspectives and a relative view of the same things. Perhaps a better statement would have been there is grass and there is sky. But I think Choid's first diagnosis was correct.
