Well, it looks like I will be leaving Satan's asshole, aka the DC area, for the Research Triangle. My wife is being recruited and we will hopefully be down there end of year if not sooner. I used to live down there a long time ago but I hear things have changed and am wondering about the job market.

I am a lawyer by training but have mostly been doing product design and non-technical project management and am curious what the market is like. And Hiders have any insight?

Thanks

I lived quite a while in the Triangle area and absolutely loved it. I'd relocate from DC to that area in a heartbeat. The last time I looked jobs were fairly plentiful if you were a business professional, which it seems you are. The tricky part will be finding a good gig close to where your wife will work so you both aren't commuting 45 minutes per day. Still, the commute will always be better than the shit show that is DC.

I promise you'll have better luck finding a job here than you will a long distance range, ill just put it that way .

Isn't Woody's like a half-hour outside town? Peacemaker is one of the few things I will miss from up here (besides some of the people and peruvian chicken) and I am consoling myself with the proximity to Woodys.
