Is it just a mental disconnect? A certain type of brain combined with a lifetime of Tv and movies? (where people shoot and kill people all day every day with zero consequences) This case, the guy in NY, even the two kids who beat their Spanish teacher to death... in what universe does that work out okay? I'm going to shoot at a car in my driveway and NOTHING bad is going to happen as a result?

No one ever condones the shooting of anyone for simply knocking on a door or turning around in a driveway. That’s absurd. It’s not what gun owners stand for, or the 2nd amendment. And those people who do that should burn for it.
But the question I ask is, what conditions on the ground existed in these areas that an 80 YO man felt it necessary to shoot through the door when it rang late at night? What reason did the other person feel made it necessary to shoot at a car in his driveway?
Maybe they were both just nuts. Or, is crime that bad in these areas? And are reactions such as these the fruit of the lawlessness we’ve seen so much of lately? You can’t have a society where criminals can just do whatever they want ( like flash mobs robbing stores, breaking windows, etc) without consequences such as the trigger fingers of vulnerable elderly folks getting twitchy.
I have to disagree to an extent, i value life and people regardless of race or whatever the soup de jour currently being pushed is.

I'd be curious to see the checklist of things that need to be checked off to make a local news story a national story. If Fox is being held accountable for lying to their viewers about Dominion, then ALL "news" outlets need to be held accountable for inciting violence for their lies they tell their viewers.

The local news here every single day plasters black faces across the screen all day with the crimes they've committed, or they're a person of interest in an overnight shooting. It's not just Fox news, they all do it.
The tagging came after the shooting, when they had declared that the old man was racist. Now they are framing the whole neighborhood as racist. The media isn't reporting the shooting as it actually happened however, they are reporting only a racism angle, and not telling the actual truth, and since the police don't comment on open investigations, the police don't get to correct the media on the facts of the case. It's a shit show, the whole city of Kansas City is a complete shit show, and of course it's a democrat run city, complete with massive corruption, and crime, and the rates here are more around the 13/80.
