Join the contest SubscribeDoc, respectfully, that’s not correct. You can immediately convert to pistol by removing the stock.Wrong.....once receiver is registered as SBR, it would have to be taken out of NFA registry in order for it to be a "pistol" again.....receiver is the firearm.....not the buffer tube.....
Hence why I never registered any firearms while I was active duty......
Doc
I wonder when they are going to change that, again?? Maybe after people register their stuff?Straight from the atf
If I no longer want a short-barreled rifle (SBR) and I remove the “brace,” do I need to contact the NFA to un-register my SBR with an attached “stabilizing brace”? | Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
It is not a requirement to remove your SBR from the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record (NFRTR); however, ATF highly recommends you notify the Government Services Branch (GSB) of the National Firearms Act Division to remove the firearm from the NFRTR registry. All NFRTR updates...www.atf.gov
Until once again they change their minds......Straight from the atf

Don't forget the entire Form 1 solvent trap debacle that ATF issued stamps for and then changed their minds forcing everybody to turn in the suppressers.Braces are cool
No they aren't
Bump stocks are cool
No they aren't
Yes they are again
An 80% receiver is a gun
No it isn't
But yeah, believe them now. They are serious this time.
Doc
You know as well as I do that gov “employees” do not and have not ever worked for the people. They actively work against us everyday.Frankly, I’m just tired of playing games. I have SBRs and suppressors already but about 5 years ago after the last suppressor debacle I just decided it’s all BS and I’m not gonna partake anymore. It’s stupid. The most used Gun used in any crime is a handgun, period. There is no more prevalence of crime with a braced pistol than there was before and to my knowledge it’s very slim, if at all. And these have been around a long time now. It’s hard to make the argument that they are unsafe all of a sudden based on that fact alone. Imo, it’s about control and it has always been about control. The more we cater to them the more control we are going to get. When is enough enough? It’s utterly stupid. And to make it worse we are being controlled an things are being decided upon by people that have zero business or knowledge to be able to do so. Most people in politics have never even touched a gun, yet they somehow know everything about them. I mean clearly potato knows his shit because he said a 9mm will blow you lung out. I mean come on.
Some of the most heavily gun regulated countries in the world don’t even regulate suppressors. You can go buy one over the counter and take it home. Yet over here is a 8 month process and a bunch of bullshit to jump through. Remember they work for us, not the other way around. It’s time we step up to remind them of that. Quit playing the damn games.
It's more like when a rapist sends you an empty condom wrapper. So it's a permission slip that says until we change our minds then.
While they are at it, let's hear it for silencers! No more stamp requirements for cans!
That would be nice. However, we need to see more RINOs tossed out of the party and true conservatives installed (or elected). So, interesting fact -- Silencers, before the GCA of 1968, were just a chunk of metal that was classified as a bad thing by the NFA.
There may have been a reasonable argument that they are not covered by the Second Amendment. I'm not saying a correct argument, but if a judge can fit their beak through a whole they'll squirm their whole damn body through it.
Well, the 1968 GCA removed all doubt there and classified silencers themselves as firearms.
As the Bruen train comes through, squishing all the hopes and dreams of petty tyrant leftists, that means silencers will be on that list to go.
That aside, it's unlikely any part of the NFA will stand on it's own unless Congress amends the law to exclude something. Which they very well may do to avoid the entire NFA itself, and subsequent amendments, from being dissolved.
Personally, that's my prediction -- that Congress will step in and remove SBR/SBS/Silencers from the NFA. It'll pass majority Republican with a few Democrats in red states pushing it over the line. They'll do it under the color of saving your rights when the reality is they're protecting their tyranny from Bruen.
Any legislation coming from any person in Congress under the color of rescuing people from this brace rule is really an attempt to save the ATF, NFA, GCA, et al, from the ATF's own ignorance and the wrecking ball that is Bruen.
I really wish that the real issue with these shootings would at least be addressed by the media or politicians. MENTAL HEALTH. Our system is broken. The worst part for me is, they know it, they do nothing. They would rather push their political ideology, than address the real issue. Sickening.^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Maybe. What makes more sense to me is that this was planned, by them. Maybe not but it’s getting to be like clockwork and I don’t believe in this many coincidences that seem to coincide with any time Gun stuff is brought up on capital hill. Add on that the ATF was getting owned in hearings and all of a sudden we have this. It happens nearly every time. Plus they had a big win in WA and want to capitalize on it as much as possible. I don’t know what to make of this crap but it’s making me not want to go anywhere. This one was interesting. If you were watching the news when it unfolded -- it was first reported as an "active aggressor."
The news stations have all buried that, every single one I could find, stealth edited their articles to completely different stories than what it started as. This screenshot was taken after they had all started changing the story but before search engine cache could update.

When government institutions, in this case it was the both the PD and FD there, refer to a school shooting as an 'active aggressor' -- after the shooting had taken place, historically this means they think it was done by one of theirs.
As of the most recent updates I've heard, it was a 'female' shooter. Note, the left has not changed the definition of female so you would THINK that means this is an actual woman. A woman who reportedly was carrying not one, but TWO rifles -- and a handgun. The dead count as of now has gone up to six from the initial 3 (excluding gun'person').
This is where the left does their dance, I think. This is going to turn out to be a 'transgender' woman whom they referred to as 'female'. The left always weaponizes language, it's their nuclear weapon and the right falls for it every time.
That's just my thought. I could be completely wrong -- but I don't see any 'female' carrying two rifles and a handgun into a school and doing a mass shooting. Let alone specifically targeting a Christian school. But a man all cracked up on hormones, no purpose in life, and no hope of ever being a real man again -- yeah, that makes a lot more sense.
Makes me even more reserved in my thoughts, what if the glowies are putting out info that people are being approved, just to lure more political prisoners into some elaborate dragnet to be cinched up after 5/31??
Every "free" Form1 that I have seen is has no stamp (real or digital) in the upper left hand corner. It is exactly a "permission" slip but with conditions!
We haven't seen page 1 have a digital stamp on a amnesty form 1.
The standard $200 paid form 1's submitted have a digital tax stamp on page 1 of the pdf.
You had to know a braced AR was going to be used in this shooting. Way too convenient. This is one of the weapons used by the murdering tranny. The amnesty registration period really worked; didn’t it?

I'm ashamed to say, but YouTube. Personally the few people I know with firearms don't have pistol braces, if they did, probably not the type to even know they would become felons for having them, nor the compliance types. I am going to pay for a stamp on an upcoming SBR build & suppressor. Once I set up a trust with my son. Then if I want to SBR any pistols I'll pay for it. To me that "free amnesty" verbage just don't sound kosher.Where are you seeing these permission slips?
Mostly on the r/NFA. Here is an example I screen shot-ed because the reason for making was funny as fuck!Where are you seeing these permission slips?
They're not "permission slips", they are approved Form 1's and they are marked "conditional" because of the tax forebearance.Where are you seeing these permission slips?

They are still an ATF Form 5320.1. Not saying they won't want their $200 at some later date.
Agreed. Also something that I think is odd. The entire point of the brace thing going to SBRs is because they claim that these braces and SBRs are more concealable, right? Thing is, there was nothing trying to be concealed yesterday. Wouldnt have made any difference if it was a full length rifle or a braces pistol or a handgun. They were all out in the open as my understanding of it was, no different than a dude parading around with a rifle. It’s not the tool, it’s the user. You had to know a braced AR was going to be used in this shooting. Way too convenient.
And where's the stamp to make it official....oh yeah it's not there so they can just change their mind when they decie to and make you a felon once again......They're not "permission slips", they are approved Form 1's and they are marked "conditional" because of the tax forebearance.
Doc, respectfully, that’s not correct. You can immediately convert to pistol by removing the stock.
You’d have to remove it from the registry.that was always my understanding with stamped SBR's. if i put a 16" barrel on it, its no longer NFA and could be transported as such.
not sure about the selling of a registered SBR with a 16" barrel, not that any sane person would do that, but not an SBR if its not SBR'ed.
seems like that came up on arfcom long ago.
to sell yet? You’d have to remove it from the registry.
Any idea when Jim Jordan is going to continue on with the pistol brace problem, or is he going to be preoccupied with the Trump case?to sell yet?
but not to just run around with a longer barrel, right?
Hahaha! That was all theater. "Look, we're doing something!" ASGHAny idea when Jim Jordan is going to continue on with the pistol brace problem, or is he going to be preoccupied with the Trump case?

If you like freedom, you'll hope they do nothing.
