All shot through a 24" EW shaw barrel. Very good groupings on the 53.9 and 53.4 loads. Less than 0.5 moa...windy and a ricky bench...First attempt at testing out a new/used rifle.

Bolt is very tight. Cases only drop 1/2" into case gauge, primers look like the 53.1 load - no change

Good stuff, I have some 162gr. amax with reloader 17, I just need to go test em in my 284. I have a 25.25" barrel, and wanted about 3000fps, looks good from your data. What was your OAL? I have mine loaded to 3.13" OAL and its as long as I can load em, I can load the 180gr. Hybrids out to 3.2"

I am at 3.167 but that's with a hornandy ogive insert. The bullets are very long! Tip to base I haven't measured, but they barely fit in a 30-06 box. I am shooting them 0.020 off the lands and 0.040. Both lengths shot the same.

Sounds good, whats the length on the BTHP? I know the AMAX is pretty long too, maybe some of my measurements were wrong, I should try to load em longer and see how far I can load em. The 180gr. Hybrids are really long, even at 3.2" I can still load em out a bit longer, but that is as far as I can load them without jamming them into the lands.
