A wise man once told me, in reference to service-related industries, that you can deliver fast, cheap, or good - pick any two. It is obvious that this deal from SWFA is cheap, and I would much prefer they be "good" scopes that take a while than fast scopes that suck. It is safe to say that we would ALL like to have our glass, and no one likes to wait, but let's all grow up and be patient and realistic like adults. Look on the bright side - the longer wait gives us more time to get money saved up to buy a good mount or whatever.

With that said, SWFA has given us some hard dates. I am satisfied with those dates, as well as the option to return my used 5-20 scope without incurring any loss. If you are not satisfied, then you now have an option to cancel your order.

At this point, the shooting season for my 1-6 is now over - SWFA entirely missed the original date, and I'm pissed about it, but there's no use in crying over spilled milk. We're simply too far along for me to cancel the order at this point, since the season I was planning on using for is past, anyhow.

I think SWFA really dropped the ball on customer service, and since they've had such poor customer service with me on ALL of my prior orders with them, this will be my last order with this vendor, which is truly a shame. I am glad they made an effort to allow us to cancel, but I doubt at this point - that many will take them up on that offer.

I truly hope my 1-6 is flawless & stellar because I simply cannot stomach a 6 month RMA process.

It is about time the moderators stepped in.

Nothing wrong with stating facts. Personal attacks are immature.

SWFA gave me an immature response and I will not buy from them. End of story. Yep, it will cost me a few bucks. But I prefer to deal with people who want my business and treat me with some degree of respect. Call me silly.

If some people do not mind being fed BS so they can save a few hundred dollars that is not 100% "wrong". It works for them!!! Let them be.

The few people who expect more should be prepared to spend more. They are not "wrong" either!!!

Just be thankful we have options and we can purchase from more than a handful of suppliers.

I've also PMd SWFA on this request since they seem to rarely monitor this thread.

It's been over 2 months since the reticle supplier and redesign issue was brought up (and the post above). Most notably is their bolded claim. Perhaps they have updated the reticle image on the web site but simply not posted any updates here? I'd like to know what I am expecting to get especially since it has changed since the early prototypes.

Spoke with SWFA yesterday. They still have absolutely nothing to offer on a timeframe for delivery of the 1-6. They were polite but would offer nothing new at all.

I don't think that has anything to do with it. They will ship when they start trickling in from Japan, period. Whether it be end of Nov. or on Christmas eve or 2013. I hope they have the reticules in already. If they don't then forget the last update from them. If the manufacturer just got them now then maybe we see some movement end of month, I guess, heck I don't know.

Have you paid SWFA the complete dollar amount of $1586.93???? Cause I havent.............. If SWFA stated that they do not charge unless shipping of an item has happened.

I've got no problem with a delay. If it stems from the manufacturer then so be it. I do have a problem with crappy customer service and vague or non-answers provided by SWFA. Notwithstanding the explanation SWFA posted here a couple months ago now, I get the same "we can't tell you anything, we don't have a date" response whenever I inquire. Most recently, I was actually told "we still haven't changed our end of summer delivery date." Really, that must now mean end of summer 2013 unless SWFA uses a different calendar than the rest of us. SWFA may in fact be a great company as many here proclaim. I just haven't seen it yet and am becoming more dubious every day. Next time, I will take my business elsewhere unless SWFA decides to give me a scope first and let me pay for it later (sarcasm intended).

I was contacted because the Bobro mount I had ordered with the 1-6 was not in stock. To prevent a delay they asked if they could sub the swfa branded mount manufactured by Bobro which has the same specs of the mount I ordered. This leads me to believe they are getting close to receiving the scopes and shipping them out.

i just called to check on mine and they said they would be getting the 1-6's in next week, and would be shipping them the first week of December as long as they passed the SWFA inspections.

he didnt have any information on the 5-20's

Personally, I haven't paid a penny yet. Once the scopes are ready, I'll be charged, and I'll be getting a great deal!

Waiting for the scopes I wanted at a fantastic price seems better to me than buying scopes I don't want at a normal price. Not to mention 6 months later I'd see the scopes I actually wanted, for which I could have saved literally hundred of dollars on. Now THAT would have been masochistic.

If this is accurate, the only noticeable difference I see is 40 total MILs from top to bottom as apposed to 50, based on the through-the-scope pics on page 12.

I'm leaning towards Bobro, but maybe an LT 104. ADMs sound perfect, but I'm not spending that much on a mount. Anyways, there has been more than enough debate on the Hide about optic mounts. I like to practice irons, so I'm going with QD, but honestly a standard mount and a torque wrench would also be a good option.
