Figured I would post two pics of my T1x in the wild today. The rig weighs 12lbs.

man. I don't know, lol. probably medium.Looks great. Which height Arken rings did you go with to use the sunshade and caps?
i cannot lie. i want one in 17hmr.Built/assembled this for critter control in Hooterville. We live directly across the road from 20 plus acres of rough timber. With that fact established, it’s a steady stream of coon, opossum, skunk, etc... making their way over in the evening to eat cat food. My 22’s live on a steady diet of Wolf Match Extra, however, match ammo doesn’t drop critters the best. Typically low/ambient light, they’re moving quickly and I’m in a hasty field position.
Tikka T1x in 17 HMR. Area 419 15 MOA base, KRG chassis, trigger at 2.5 lbs, etc... Threw on a spare USO 5-25x56 I keep around in case a center fire scope goes down. So far groups run sub half MOA at 100 yards with some in the .2’s. So far have only run the Hornady 17 gr V-MAX. Have a couple CCI offerings I haven’t tried yet. Been fun so far. Time will tell.
After the initial sight in, and slipping the turrets, I confirmed zero this morning. It was dead on. I placed Walnuts on the plate rack at 100 this morning at it literally vaporizes them .

That vertical dispersion is the same I see with my T1X. CCISV is tighter than SKS+ and SKRM for me. Average group size of 1.75” over 44 10 rnd groups this year at 97yds. I find it takes 20-30 shots to accustom the barrel to a different ammo. Also, the cold bore shot is 1” high and 1/2” left. I’ve ordered a 22” 1/12 twist IBI to try and tame the vertical dispersion at 200+. I’ve got some SK LRM to try with it.Got out yesterday with my dad to let him check out the T1x with my chassis and trigger prototypes. The smile on his face after shooting said it all! We both were keeping 10 shot groups around 1.5” - 1.75” at 100 yards with SK Std Plus. Seemed to be more vertical dispersion than horizontal though. Horizontal already was typically less than 1”. Sometime I’ll have to try some better Ammo and see if I can tighten those up more View attachment 7694194

Are you saying that your average group sizes with SK STD+ and RM are averaging above 1.75” at 100 yards? That vertical dispersion is the same I see with my T1X. 10 rnd groups of SK S+ are, yes. SKRM are right around the same as CCISV, but the CCI is 1/2 the price. I don’t shoot 5 rnd groups of Rimfire because it doesn’t give me sound results, considering the ES of rimfire ammo. Are you saying that your average group sizes with SK STD+ and RM are averaging above 1.75” at 100 yards?
I also have an IBI 1/12 coming (mine is 20").I have an IBI 1/12 coming and I will retest the SKRM to see if it’s better. I’ve got some SKLRM to try now too.
Yes, and no fitment issues. A YoDave trigger spring and you are done.Has anyone dropped a T1X MTR into a MDT ACC Chassis ?
Any fitment issues ?
Also, Anyone using a KRG Midas trigger on their T1X ?
The bore guide yodave sells, Dewey rod and a 'wasp' shaped jag that was from Sinclair. Using Sharp Shooter R Patch-Out and No-Lead.Not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but what is everyone using for cleaning their T1X?
I tested out a lot of ammo in my T1x before settling on RWS R100. Have chrono'd some of it but mostly just chronoing what works well, so I cannot really comment on the SD/ES of what didn't work well. I've tried one box of SK Long Range but only at 100 and didn't chrono it. It's on my list of ammo to try out more though.Hello all, I recently got a new lot of SK Long range match. My 20” tikka will shoot groups like the one pictured below at 50 yards, but averages about a 1.5” group at 100 yards…I was at the range yesterday and at 185 yards on a 4” gong I was only able to get 1 hit out of 10 shots with splash both low and high. Could it just be the lot and my rifle don’t like each other? It just doesn’t seem right that I can shoot so good at 50 but at 100 and over it goes to s***. I’ve tried action screw torque from 25-40 and ran patches with boretech rimfire through until clean. Same result. Keep in mind this rifle is well under 1k rounds probably 5-600.
100 yd groups will be usually be about 2.6X 50yd group’s for 22LR. They have to be at least 10 shot groups to show reality. The bench rest guys shooting 10 rnd groups at 100 with lot tested ammo have a hard time averaging under 1” groups at 100. They get some under 1”, but occasionally is not the same as average. 5 rnd groups don’t show the ES problems systemic to 22LR.I tested out a lot of ammo in my T1x before settling on RWS R100. What shoots well at 50 can turn to crap at 100 and turn to really crap at 200. I'd expect a high SD/ES to show itself in vertical spread and of course wind will give you a large horizontal spread if you don't correct your windage or release your shots when you feel the wind is the same as your last shot. A headwind/tailwind will also cause vertical stringing I have found if you don't try and shoot when the wind is the same as the last shot. So I guess my question is what was the wind doing on the day use used the SK Long Range? SK Long Range should be better than what you were getting, provided you manage your wind.
Yes, and it works great. No fitment issues once you remove the t3 mag release. Just don’t bother trying to use the mk machining mag extensions with the ACC chassis. They do not fit.Has anyone dropped a T1X MTR into a MDT ACC Chassis ?

I'm running around 1" on the RWS R100 at 100 yards. I shoot the 6x5 as per the thread on this forum. I think my best average on that is 0.9-something inches. I did 1.1 inches average on a 6x5 over the weekend, but that was with gusting winds. I did shoot R100 back to back with RWS Special Match. Just eyeballing the Special Match 6x5 card it looks like about 1.7 inches average, although I was messing around a bit and had some music on when shooting the Special Match as I know it isn't as accurate. On the R100 card, I was concentrating. The R100 is better by a long way than every other ammo I've tried, including the Lapua Center-X and the various Eleys and SKs. The SK Long Range I do need to try out more. A suppressor seems to add a small amount, maybe 10 or 15% to my group size on my rifle. The 1.1 inches just now was with a suppressor. My experience has been the same as the poster you wuote

The issue was resolved by torquing my action screws on the factory stock about 2 pounds per time and shooting 20 rounds (2 10 round groups at 100) until it tightened up. I ended up at 43 ish inch pounds and did not go any higher. It shot nice little bug hole groups like that at 50 and MOA-ish at 100-150. (Best groups MOA, average slightly over) Since then I have switched to a PDC custom chassis and it shoots consistently better now. I have noticed that the humidity greatly effects my bullet trajectory. Our range has a max distance of 185 yards with steel plates out there of various sizes. On one day it was 95% humidity and I needed 6.1 Mils to impact, the next day i shot it was 40% humidity and I needed 5.8 ish to hit. I need to figure out how to implement that data into StrelokPro to compensate for the changes in environmentals. I also crave to learn more about how environmentals effect the bullet trajectory, if anyone has a good learning resource on that (or maybe a rimfire specific resource as my only center fire shooting is deer hunting). I was shooting a 6” plate (what I previously thought to be 4” until I measured) and I was able to connect on 20 consecutive shots.I'm running around 1" on the RWS R100 at 100 yards. Overall, I’d take Canada. I’m in England. Getting permission from the police to buy that 22LR in the photo, even though I already had a firearms licence and other guns, took 5 months. Handguns are out of the question.Suppressor talk is cruel for us up here in Canada.
Good to know on the mag extensions. Is the mag release that big of an interference ? I have the T1X Barreled Action in my take off CRT Stock, ant there are no issues, but the ACC is a different animal.Yes, and it works great. No fitment issues once you remove the t3 mag release. I’m running the Timney T3 trigger in my T1x and love it.
Yeah you’ll definitely need to remove the mag release. The T1x mag just barely fits in there. It’s super easy, just a punch and a light tap of the hammer will send it right out. The trouble is when you want to put it back in to put a tikka t3x in the ACC haha.Good to know on the mag extensions. Is the mag release that big of an interference ? I'm probably going to swap the CTR barreled action out of my ACC and drop the T1X Barreled Action into it. I may pirate the Midas Trigger off of that action for the T1X as well.
I would highly recommend the Silencerco Sparrow. I believe it makes my Tikka more accurate. Very inexpensive too. You can buy one right now for $313.43 shipped from Lanbo's Armory, that's where I bought all 3 of my suppressors.

I agree that at 200 yards it’s hard to claim a .22 being MOA all day every day as this target shows ( 50 rds at 200 using lot tested Lapua Cx). You can see most are pretty good but a few fliers open it up. But you for sure can put together good groups or even good 6x5 targets that would be MOA on that time and day. I’m just not able to get these all day every day as things just seem to conspire against me ..22LR is about good for 2MOA at 200yds at best, just due to statistical dispersion...Shoot 8in plat next to a 4 inch plate and see if you have better luck. In my limited expereince, the best way to test usable ammo accuracy is shoot paper at 200/300. Shoot 3x5 round groups, aggreate the results in an app/excell and do the math on the mean radius of disperion
I just learned from your image MkMachining makes T1X extensions.
How do you like them?
Great looking rig!Just finished up this T1X. Set up for shooting NRL 22 matches. Currently weighs in at 15.5lbs. With SK Rifle Match it does about MOA or a little better at 100 with much of the dispersion vertical. I have some Midas + on the way that will hopefully arrive before a match next weekend that should clean up that group a little.

Does anyone have a spare mag holding solution? Either belt mounted or on the gun.
Jury rigged is fine as I'm not walking around the woods with it.
Digging in my pocket isn't cutting it for the local NRL22 matches unfortunately.
SAP .22 Magazine Holder - Short Action Precision
Hold an extra .22 magazine with the SAP .22 Magazine Holder! .22 mag holder, .22 trainer, Short Action Precision, Precision Rifle, cz mag holder, spare .22 magwww.shortactionprecision.com
Works perfectly!
Haha, it’s definitely tight at first but after leaving an empty mag in there for a few weeks it has just the right amount of tension.Thank you, that's good to see. I emailed them about this holder a while back and the reply was, "Maybe?"
I haven’t run my muzzle velocities, but I didn’t have much luck with SK LRM out of my tikka, which sucks because I now have two bricks of the stuff sitting on my shelf. Even with the barrel tuner, I couldn’t get the group size down to anywhere close to where I’d like to be. Mine seems to like Center-X. I use SK RM for practice and Center-X for matches.Anyone running SK ammo out of their Tikkas, what are your muzzle velocities? Looking for specifically SK LRM but would be passionately curious to hear all results.
They feed almost anything pretty well. I have had great luck with Fed Automatch 325 packs both with reliability and accuracy. Shoots damn close to CCI SV.Does the T1x have any issues with feeding from cheap bulk pack ammo?
Interesting, my Tikka likes it, but likes it a lot better with the tuner. Almost cut my 100 yard groups in half. I chrono'd a 10 shot string of SKLRM with my 20" tikka with an 1100fps average, 16 extreme spread, 5.4 SD (this past sunday).I haven’t run my muzzle velocities, but I didn’t have much luck with SK LRM out of my tikka, which sucks because I now have two bricks of the stuff sitting on my shelf.
