trade NEF 45-70 for Nagant Carbine ???

I have a New england fire arms 45-70 i used for hog hunting, a buddy of mine offered to trade me his mosin nagant, has few minor mods, now my 45-70 i purchased used for $175, the nagants i see for around 79-99 for the full lenght... is the carbine wort trading for?? Just like the cool factor of it i guess, i know most are Piece of shits and others are pretty good... what do you think as far as a rough country gun??
accuracy expectations?? 3" 100 yard with handloads? btw it comes with 80 rounds of big bear ammor and 400 pieces of empty brass

Which carbine the M39 or M44?? If it's an M44 it will have a folding bayonet.

Well I picked up my M44 about a year ago for 100 bucks on gunbroker. So they are probably worth somewhere around there, possibly a little more by now.

I wouldn't do the trade. I'm sure you can still pick up an M44 refurbs for under $100. I see them on various board all the time for that price. The one exception I would trade for is the Polish M44 has a 11 in a triangle on the receiver and most of them I've seen were factory new condition not refurbs and sell for $200+. Beautifully finished rifles.
