What did you do in the reloading room today?

Nothing! What you do when the daughter and grandchildren come to visit and take over your reloading room for a 4 month old.😅😂

This evening I loaded up a batch of 60 338LM with 285 Eldm, 145 rounds of 300prc with 230 A-Tips.
Discovered that I've got close to 250 6x47 cases that need sized and prepped, fortunately they've already been through the tumbler.
Still have a bunch of 338LM, 300orc, and 6.5saum cases that need loaded, they're all sized and primed, just need the time to finish loading them. Seems like I can never keep caught up with the reloading. :ROFLMAO:

De-capped and wet tumbled a couple of hundred cases of varied calibers.
Annealed and sized 65 cases of 6.5x47L, then primed them.
FL sized 50 pieces of range pick-up once fired LP 6.5CM S&B brass.

broke my 45acp processing CP2000. ordered a bunch of parts, and getting everything running again today.

cleaned (4) more buckets of 45acp

started depriming/swaging LC 223/556, and then some mixed HS 223

sorted (6) buckets of 40 brass

just keep rocking along

I cleaned out the pockets of 200+ 38 special cases. Next will be several hundred 357 cases. I will load them on my 750.

I also picked up 1500+ 10mm cases. There are some small primer cases in the lot. Along with the 10mm cases I also picked up 3K of LP primers.

My plans for the 10mm cases are to deprime them, clean them and then resize them. I will need to check them for the Glock Bulge. If they need to be de-bulged, I will put them through my Lee de-bulger. Last month I put over 3K of 10mm cases through my de-bulger. That was a pain in my ass, but it needed to be done.

For that volume of cases you might as well get a roll sizer. Much faster and much less effort to "debulge" cases.
Thank You for your suggestion.

I never heard of a roller sizer so I looked them up. They are very expensive. I will only need to debulge these cases once since they will be shot out of a CMMG MK10 300 pistol. I do plan to buy a S&W 10mm pistol of a FN510.

keep ammo in a cooler ?
No, I want it at ambient temp. If a load is going to be over-pressure due to temp, it will be so when it is hot. So, testing when it is hot helps to prevent that. Loads developed in the summer may be a bit slow in the winter, but loads developed in the winter may be dangerous in the summer. I prefer the former to the latter…

Very little, too hot in garage (AZ). Received a Mighty Armory PUA decapping die and 6CM sizing die in the mail today, they come partially assembled, so I put them together, wiped the sweat out of my eyes and put them in reloading tool chest.

Later going to neck down 50 300NM with final bushing step (.312) and ultrasonic clean, maybe even prime them and another 50 I have completed.

When I go to the range, I will dump 500 to 1,000 rounds of mix ammunition. That is through my semi autos. I must reload.
Before kids I shot a lot but with 2 little boys and coaching baseball it just doesn't leave a lot of time. I don't know that I'd shoot 1000 rounds at a time though.

With what all you have now you can probably kick out a lot of ammo? How much production ability do you have or will you have?

When I go to the range it is usually with 2 or 3 sons, they shoot my ammo.

Sorry I got mixed up s bit but I knew you loaded a lot. Wow. That's some serious capability right there. How close is your powder drops you think? +/- .1gr?

Ah ha. I see. I'm semi preparing for that myself. I can roll through brass prep fairly quickly on my 550 with me feeding it. I have another spot for a 750/1050 though I considered the new genesys system, but honestly I can do enough
223 for all with my 550 I think. Feeding it is a huge time saver though, I couldn't do near as much without the feeder set up I have. Not sure if they will end up shooting enough to really make that an issue but now if they got into pistol a lot AND shot 223 then there could be a real need to ramp things up a bit. Mine are so into sports that I'm not sure if they will ever get there but the oldest does like to shoot. The youngest is just getting started shooting the bb gun (he's 3, but he's a big 3 year old). Oldest is turning 8 in Sept

I sized some brass I lubed yesterday then forgot about. When I finished I decided to clean my die out then polish it some with 400 grit. Then I primed the brass to load an ocw for my 6 arc with 95smk and mp501.

did load afew 6.5 G new scope to be put on just not sure which gun to put it on .is a 6.5 Grendel worthy of a vortex venom 5-25x56? or should it be put on a UPR 708 ?

5-25 on a grendel would be a waste in my opinion.. need like a 2-10 or. 3-15/18
I have a 6-24 x 50 on one, a 4-12 x 44 on another, and a 1-8x24 on another still. The first does duty as a local PRS gun, the middle is a “hunting rifle,” and the latter is a SBR. Depends on what you want the gun to do.

There are those that would say a 7-35 is a waste on a 22 lr. They don’t know what they don’t know.

Just finished last small details on 4 of 5 of these on V7 Sovereign receiver sets for a good friend. Still waiting for JP FMOS BCG’s and last barrel, but was able to run a box through and break in these four with a spare BC and properly headspaced bolt. Garage does more than double duty, and a new mini split takes the TX heat down to a tolerable level.

for now the gun of fun is the 6.5 Grendel . the vortex will be on the 6.5 Grendel (for now)

I absolutely attempt to load Everything I'm planning on shooting during WINTER and early Spring . Yeah I'll tweak some here and there load a small number during Summer or Fall so as to micro manage if need be .
Loading anywhere where Temps rest on triple digits ,SUCKS and the #2 reason we didn't retire in AZ. What would have been the point of jumping out of the frying pan into the FIRE !. I sweated near My entire life between Southwest deserts and Mojave , F that shit I'm retired
