Almost done tearing down the last right. Been a pretty good night actually. This spot was terrible, barely made enough to make payroll but at least it's something

More yackin' yesterday. Same trip I always take plus half a mile. Making it right at 12.5. Made it yesterday in 5 hours flat including a couple breaks for refreshments.

Saw 5 eagles on this trip. No good pics though.
I did find this guy though, not sure what happened to him. Looked to have only been there a day or so.

Finish line.

Well boys, made it home. Thought she might try to drown me and she didnt.
I am very relaxed. Work tomorrow is gonna be a bit of a struggle.

Mr Squatch sir, I am in such a damn fine mood after the events of this weekend, I will let you make up any words you choose for the next 72 hours.

Dined on some absolutely amazing food that was out of this world and had some great wine with our dinners nightly. The best part was the amazing company which I keep and will be till Im voted off this rock.

The first was at a great sushi place we found a couple blocks from our hotel. I will post up pics of that in Nom Nom later this week.
Second was at McP’s which was a block from us.
Just was in the mood for a drink and based on all the books about legends I have read since age 11 or 12, I knew I needed to make a stop if it was feasible. Momma lnew it was a big deal to me, so we had a post-lunch libation.

Pic 1....Strategically placed ring/rock ? If so, I may not be the fastest bulb in the Hide chandelier.....but I think I may have beaten everyone else. And, if so, congrats !

Friday I had to do an appraisal on a place at a nearby lake that was selling. These were in the corner of the living room. They brought back thoughts of older times. My parents built a house on a lake when I was 12 and while we could not afford a boat, my dad got one anyway. I had a pair of skies just like these and when my best friend and I could come up with money for gas, we were on the lake. We mowed yards and hauled hay, so we were on the lake at some time most days.

I did not matter how good you could ski, or what tricks you could do, you just could not look bad behind a 14 foot v-bottom fishing boat with a 25 hp Johnson and a tiller handle!

BUT, we tried.

Laughed till my eyes watered over this. If ya can't get the visual reading your post, "AND" looking back at similar times of days past, well, some people missed out then. I can picture many a time when we 'tried' to ski and ended up just trolling little humans like bait behind the under-powered boat. Fun indeed.

Great shots buddy. Damn you two look good together. Said it many times, but you two make one helluva couple. Can tell you're both enamored with each other. Thanks for the pass as well for the next 72 hrs. I won't abuse the privilege. ;) Really nice shot of San Diego and North Island. I see only one Carrier in port. The others gotta be haze grey and underway. (y)

Perhaps I haven't been keeping up with the story very well, but is that ring a new development?

ETA: Missed that Threadcutter beat me to it above.

Threadcutter for the keen eye win!

It is a new ring and engagement. Im excited. She is the most amazing lady I have ever known.

As I told 1J04, the ring is a custom job, like any good Hider.......

We watched another carrier a ways off the coast doing circles for part if the day (figured they were drinking and celebrating!) then it just headed back away.
Was a lot of fun watching all the jets, choppers, and planes coming in over the Coronado Beach as we playing, looked for shells for the kids, and just relaxed watching the waves and people.

Enjoy that fishing Mr Mike. Looks like an awesome time.

Today we were shopping main street when I ran across this. It's the same name as a club we'd frequent as young men. I decided to take a picture and send it to my buddy as I already had sent him pic of another club that had the same name as another club we'd frequent as well with a "they ALL moved down here.".

After I crossed back over the street with my nose in my phone texting my buddy my wife informed me a prostitute followed me to solicit me. We laughed and moved on which was crossing the street again to go into another souvenir shop. As we were standing there the same prostitute approached me with her sales pitch in the middle of the day right in front of my wife and 16 yo daughter, my wife's sister, her 15 yo daughter, 18 yo son and 5 yo son. She was quite pushy but I had to tell her "my wife won't let me." ;) She wouldn't.

BTW, prostitution is legal in Costa Rica. At least that is what I'm told.

Sorry, all I can think of is that they can't get the no apostrophe in a plural subject noun thing consistently, either. That almost bothers me more than pushy prostitutes.

It's "centerfolds," unless the "centerfolds" have something that we're discussing, like goonyas, and then it's "the centerfolds' goonyas."

Maybe Mr. Centerfold owns Centerfold's?

One of the local Coopers dropped by to deplete the vole population. My neighbor really needs to paint her fence.

Hey 1J,
Probably shouldn't be any where near an IPad , cause I'm totally fucked! Way too many scotches to wash down the chicken! :) but the sunlight promotes weed growth on the spring creeks. The PH on the creeks is neutral to positive, incredibly fertile waters, great insect life, pretty much constant temperatures year round creates an environment for fantastic fishing. But our group has been doing this for 29 years straight, and all we really care about is eating, smoking, and drinking, with the fishing coming in a distant fourth! Tucker, our good friend owns RST, great man, great shells!

Copy that my friend. Appreciate the explanation. We get our own little version of that crap in the Columbia and it's tributaries. Hate it, but a necessary evil. As fine of weed/moss growth as that appears to be, it's gotta be a real bitch peeling it off your line and lure/fly. Enjoy Mike.

I had just starting sipping last night when I got a call from my neighbor.
Caroline, the female of the twins with cerebral palsy (Riley's sister) was in dire shape. She'd vomited after dinner. That in itself is not unusual for her, but there was a reddish orange gelatinous mass that didn't resemble anything she'd just eaten. Reason for concern. Serious concern.

They were preparing to rush her to the ER, but they needed someone to watch the younger set of twins until grandma got there.
Of course we said yes, and my wife and I rushed over within minutes.

The latest on Caroline is that the mass was clotted blood. Anyone who hunts knows what it looks like. Mixed with her food, which is liquid nutrition, it made the ugly mess they'd seen.
They're still running tests to figure out what's going on, but she is stable for now. They did have to give her some blood.

The younger twin girls are an absolute joy!
We sat on the couch and watch Paw Patrol with them - my first ever Paw Patrol episode. We talked and showed them how I could wiggle my nose. That trick always gets the little ones. They are not identical twins. Abby is the little one and for whatever reason, she and I have bonded. She squeezed up close to me and laid her head on my chest, wrapping her tiny arms around my arm. I. AM. TOAST! She's got me wrapped. Sign the papers. I'm hers.

Grandma showed up soon enough and we were thanked profusely and relieved of our posts.

He is a state trooper, and was supposed to be going to Charlottesville to keep the Neo-Nazis and the Antifas from killing each other again this weekend. Obviously that didn't happen.
I wish these assholes realized that the people who protect them from each other and from themselves are people too. They don't care. They need to be loud and ... whatever... fuck them!

I was asked to feed the animals this morning in his absence. he texted me instructions and I rode the Polaris over and took care of it.
As I rode by the house, I looked up and saw the girls at the window watching me and waving. When I went around the house they hopped from window to window to watch and wave.

When I was done with the feeding and watering, I went to the door and asked if they'd like to go back to my place and "help" me feed the fish.
Like Christmas had come early! They were jubilant!

So we rode back over to my place and we fed the fish, and then they picked some flowers to take back Gam-Gam to thank her for looking after them.

On the way back, the little one, the one who has me wrapped, was singing something. Not Paw Patrol or Sesame Street. Something familiar....

"In their head, in their head.... they are fighting." "In their head, in their head... they are dying...."

This 4 year old in 2018 was singing "Zombie" by the Cranberries!

I told the dad that he was crushing the parenting game. He said this is the version she likes.

Prayers for Caroline.
