Maggie’s What's Your View II

91 yesterday. Ran up Altoona along the Columbia to see if a damn Bear might pop out before dark. No. But did find a Doe and 2 late fawns that had zero fear of the truck. Crazy bastards.

And along the way we came across someone's Pathfinder that failed miserably finding the Path. Not 100% certain, but me thinks this rig could be stolen........

Hanauma bay ,use to live within walking distance of the view.

OK, whereabouts ? I'm guessin' westside, WA state, near Auburn (IBS scratchpad (in Auburn, WA)), maybe "Enumscratch" or Sumner area. Droopy fir trees (lack of water, westside dried out)), WA state speed limit signs and green WA state freeway access signs. "2 packs a day" comments have been running rampant on the local Puget Sound radio stations for the last week or so.....

Nope quite a bit south of there. I am down in Raymond. About 3.5 hours south of auburn. Smoke is supposed to be out of here by the end of tomorrow and some rain is going to move in. The deer and elk will really like that.

View attachment 6935408Still running like a chicken with my head cut off... picked up out frieghtliner from the service place $1200 to replace a $36 sensor.... bastards.

Ouch and damn? That whole vehicle maintenance thing is getting to be a rigged rodeo. ? Step outside the lines a bit and void a warranty and I’m lucky because I have clients that own dealerships. I go way out of my way to take care of them and the good ones are generous back so I don’t get the sting that most do.

A very comfortable 55 degrees at sunrise this morning. My view earlier today...

Damn nice !

We wouldn't have been able to have seen the first corn rows around here (western WA) due to the smoke from the fires. We did get a little rain first thing this AM, which helped immensely. Dunno about Stryker and J, but up near Seattle, we've been having "two packs a day" tight chests. Looking forward to more rain (I am a Washtonian, after all.....)

Our Honey Badger is cutting wood in this weather.
Shit, it's only 90 today. Real feel of 99* and the humidity is actually low at 64%. Probably a touch higher since Mike is close to the water yet inland enough to hold the moisture from all the rain. Feels like a jungle outside right now. View attachment 6935706
He’s tougher than boiled owl shit for sure. Hard to get me to look at a saw or splitter in those temps.

Happy Birthday stud from the Captain of Team Motrin ?

We had big plans to be sharing the view with some of you guys at the moment, our fortieth wedding anniversary this weekend and we had intended spending it re visiting some parts of the West coast and exploring some parts we had not yet seen. Unfortunately Pam's mother had another stroke (first one over 30 years ago, in a wheelchair since) and both our fathers passed recently. She is not willing to travel now and risk having to come home early to bad news. We still intend to make the trip but cannot set a date yet. Might just have to take her out for a nice dinner instead. Hope to catch up with some of you in the future.
