For $20 I thought this was neater than fresh puppy shit in a purple Dixie cup. Allows you to build up your comb in layers with a neoprene sleeve. Was determined to get my comb where it needed to be today.......just wasn’t prepared to spend a thousand to do it?

Hi,

One of your chairs is sticking out farther than the one next to it....And the buttstock is not center lined the grout....just saying. lol

Sincerely,
Theis

My view this weekend has been of shiny things, first off wife decided we needed a new kitchen range / oven, old one was just gas, new one has gas and or electric oven so had to run a dedicated heavy duty circuit. Managed to get out of crawling around in the roof space by using our son the electrician for that bit (plus the heavy lifting). Pam is happy now, made roast dinner last night and baked pies.
Then I saw a bargain at the local shops, 6 burner stainless grill / rotisserie with wok burner. Did not come assembled, took 118 fasteners to build it. Assembly did go a bit faster after I got Pam to fetch drinks and try her new toy instead of helping.

If your new to the area, the pics of the resort that is under construction is old. Castle Hot Springs is basically out in the middle of nowhere.....at least it used to be. Rumor has it that it has been frequented by the likes of Marylin Monroe and John Wayne back in the day. Castle Hot Springs is a nice drive if you haven’t done it? A trip down memory lane for me as a good friend introduced me to the area and retired from a Jeep tour business with a wide knowledge of the area. He passed last year and I miss him dearly. Love ya brother and Rest In Peace John.

‘91 was crazy early though. Freeze up arrived the beginning of September. There was ice running in the Yukon by the middle of the month and hunters were getting stuck all along the River with carb icing issues. It was pretty crazy.

You’re right in that it certainly isn’t as predictable as it once was and it’s certainly not as cold in the winter. We haven’t had -60’s here at our place in 6 or 7 years and not nearly as much -40’s and -50’s as we should be having.

Careful what you ask for.

Had 80 degrees in Texas today, deer opener this weekend will be 70 ish.
To warm for my liking, processing game sucks when its warm like this.

Had a friday 80 dg and Saturday 17dg about 30 years ago on opener weekend.
Have been carefull about bitching since, had to get coffee water from inside the ice chests. Lol

Several ice chests full, hits the ground and race is on.
Gut , cram with ice bag and either race to meat processor locker or
Quarter and toss in ice chest asap.

Two people can hot process a deer before the meat cools to ambiant temp.
Once on ice all is well, I do like to hang meat but not feasible except in a processor plant,
For a lot of the Texas season. You just haul ass home an if you got a good wife she will bone out and cut meat with you. Lol

Cold is a blessing, -60 is crap anyway I see it, have been there never want to go back!

Lately I like to process my own.
You just drain water and add ice till you get done.
Some times in late season I can hang a deer for a while, not often.
Many a deer boned out in my kitchen with the air conditioning running. Lol
