Maggie’s What's Your View II

Merry Christmas everyone!
IMG_20181225_105745811_HDR.jpg

The 4 boys are all better after being sick, busy playing with their new gifts and all went to the window with hands over hearts when the Star Spangled Banner came on. Good kids! Unfortunately mom is sick now this morning! Hopefully dad and the little 2.5 month old girl can keep from getting it!

Don’t kill a Yankee for asking, but are Buddabeans the same as Lima beans? Similar but different?

"Butter beans" are different according to some, and the same according to others. My experience is that butters, or limagrands, are whitish, and limas are green. They go good with ham hocks, and great as a base for BBQ beans.

Very close. The dried variety goes good with dried sausage, but that subject could take up too much space.

No one in my family uses the term Lima bean unless having a breakdown in communication while swapping recipes with northern folk.
Butter beans is butter beans, theys biggerns, littlerns, dried erns, baby greenerns(rather be beat than have to shell them), and speckled butterbeans.
Nothing produces inflatulation like dried buddabeans.

Sorry. Inflatulation:
A condition of uncontrollable farting, while simultaneously asking for your sixth helping of "those divinely delicious" beans.

They are really good with ham hocks. My wife's family, in Louisiana, call them "Butter Peas". I just call'em good!

Yes I do @Threadcutter308 ! I am so blessed to have the wonderful wife and kids that I do!

Just not lucky enough to avoid the puking rally!

Yeah, you just haven't lived until you wake up early Saturday morning to prep formula to feed your little girl. You aren't wearing a shirt, you pick her up and hold her chest to chest and she lets out the foulest, largest projectile vomit stream you've ever seen. Said spew stream heads right for your shoulder, hits, splashes up, comes down, splits equally and goes down the front and back of you. Ahhh.......good times. Sigh, just goes with the territory. ;)

Ah yes, those were the days.
My little one didnt puke much.
Once at almost 3 she was up in the night saying her tummy was hurting. She tried to go #2 several times with little success or relief.
My ex and I had her in our bed to see what was happening, she was sitting up and then promptly vomitted all her lunch, snack, and dinner all over her mom, including a bunch into her mouth.
My baby (almost 7) loves to tell that story. Her mom still gets sick thinking about it.

I always get a belly ache from laughing so hard.

Both of momma’s kids got it, one before Christmas and one starting Christmas morning.

Fingers crossed my little one, momma, nor I end up with it........

My view of the Venezuelan Navy docked in Curaçao right now.

They float over with produce and float back with cash... and they love U$D. They have so often run ATMs dry of US dollars on Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao that they stopped stocking them. Maybe they could be considered the maritime division of the Venezuelan Finance ministry.

Not before Brussel Sprouts.........

Shut yer filthy mouth! Love brussel sprouts.
Made some to go with the Prime Rib just yesterday. Pan seared, then tossed with some fresh garlic and butter for a couple minutes and a little balsamic reduction drizzled over at the end.

Maybe thats why I have swamp butt today?..... ????

Made a mail run the other day. Temps were sitting about -30 with a little breeze so I didn’t stop to take a lot of pictures. It was nice to see the sun for a few hours though. Don’t get much of that this time of year. We had a really warm freeze up so there still lots of holes in the river ice that steam when the temps drop and you can see them all along the river.

Takes a lot of chow to feed himself AND Spider-Man ?! Ty can out eat me at every meal. It’s crazy how they can put it away.

Very true.
If your kid is active, then a horse's vet bills are cheaper than doctor bills.

The youngest here broke a thumb, that healed. He broke his tibia, that healed, then injured his wrist. All in a little over six months. The roughest game he plays is basketball.
I call him osteoporosis boy now...

Yesterday he got that hat. He was wearing a Diesel life shirt. Made me laugh a bit with the badass boy shirt and the little boy hat ?
