Hate it when it doubles pix .
Any the smaller ones are better eating.

BBQ on the halfshell.

Best bait, half a fresh crab body no dead stuff, bust off the carapace, #5o-7o kale hook.
A slip cork is handy and we catch a lot in 18 inches of water on a tide running out of the grass.

That's my 2 sons.

.
I was thinking more like plain 243 or 22/250... like my 308; be able to go anywhere and in a pinch buy ammo off the shelf

I’m a slow thinker, but, I like where your head is at. I’ll cast a vote for 243. Love that caliber for smaller stuff. Been carrying a plain Jane stock Savage 110 with a not too pricey optic for years now in the timber truck and around the farm. Seems to work just fine for a clod like me anyway. I especially like the Federal offering with the Nosler 80 BT, and so does this particular rifle.

Certain years you get a distinctly longer period of time where there is what is referred to as meridianal flow. This is where the polar front jet (PFJ) is still flowing in a fashion of a winding snake up and down the CONUS, as apposed to zonal flow, which is where the PFJ is flowing more or less straight west to east.
When you have meridional flow that sets up for an extended period of time you typically have a strong North Pacific Low and a strong Bermuda High. These two pressure systems interact and you typically see cold early summers in the NW and very hot early summers in the SE. You typically see very strong severe weather in the Midwest because that Bermuda High tends to push tons of heat and moisture from the Gulf up to the plains and then when a cold front comes out of the NW and moves southeast following he path of that meridional PFJ it penetrates into all that warm, moist goodness and explodes. It is the equivalent of giving a grizzly bear crack, tons of raw meat and candy popcorn, and then stomping on one of her cubs.

Sorry.
Nerd rant over.

Spend too much on an expensive rain jacket to deal with the never ending rain.
Works like a charm. Won’t rain for the next 6 months.
I tried that... I’ve had the same military issue rain suit for the last 18 years. Best money ive ever spent!!! That and a boot drier. Nothing like a warm pair of boots or shoes first thing in the morning. Even on a hot day I like it. Gets rid of the smell too

This spring has been a pita for so many people suffering severe weather this year.
Seems not one portion of the USA has been spared.

Now comes the heat.

Rinse swish repeat.

I know I shouldn't say this, out of fear of jinxing us, but Western Washington has been pretty nice lately. (Normal) morning fog, burns off by noon and high 60's in the afternoon. ;):cool::cool:

Correct just all the px I had handy, my son against advisement kept and cooked it. He will not do that again. Lol

I no longer keep any bull reds. I have lost a lot of pictures from my old phone.

Those large drum will smash your tackle .
Each trip can cost you a couple of busted rods and sometimes a burnt reel. If you fish near a channel it's bound to happen.

Schools out (finally). Ty had a good day. We fished a county park not far from us this morning with great luck. Bluegill, Largemouth, and Cat. All catch and release as we’re busy this time of year. Fed him and off to BP for this evenings Fresh/Soph DH. He plays Short, 3rd or 2nd (crap pic through chain link with him at 3rd). Won both. He showered, ate, and is cutting Z’s now.

@Major Wader - that is already on the list. This is momma’s aunt and she has been there a couple times prior to me being in the picture with just her two kids to visit. She took a couple hours off from parenting and went to the brewery with her brother and dad.
They have some tasty brews.
Wish they had more of the one they brewed for the tricentennial last year that included some sauvignon blanc grapes. It was tasty and refreshing on a super hot day.

Probably a lot of family time and a day of fishin with my crazy buddy who we all called Cajun when he lived here in CO for a couple years.
Partial day excursions to keep the kids moving are good though.

The dumbass eagle is trying to nab the slow ducks again. They're slick.

"Slow ducks", "Short (duck) bus riders", "(duck bus) Window lickers"..........?

Where is your compassion, Man ? What are you going to do when they identify as "Gender Fluid" ? What then, more humiliation ?

:unsure: :rolleyes::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Dickweed...... ?

Got my future FIL a couple bottles of single malt for his birthday.

We had other stuff while they were here last week so he popped the top on one tonight with Aunt Susie.

Some serious pours for folks who dont drink spirits very often.

Aunt susie is on R with khaki on, Jimmy is in the TShirt.
She dresses kinda crazy for a nun......

I hear good stuff comes from Austin.... ?

Interesting point.......

There's a lot of Woodinville Whiskey fans here. WWC also make a really (REALLY) good Vodka. It is now called "Peabody Jones" Vodka. Who da fuk thought that name up ought to be.......well......never mind. As I said, originally, it was just "Woodinville Whiskey company Vodka". No matter, the recipe hasn't changed, it's still the cat's ass. I buy it for sippin' Vodka....it's really great. Having said that, Tito's is great too.....not nearly as forward/aggressive as "Peabody Jones". Tito's is for volume and P/J is for "quality/sippin'". They are both great.

Not sure I should say this, but I live (actually, my wife/girlfriend) about 3 miles from WWC. (I live in Marriotts, I earn points......)
Big secret ? You can usually buy WWC products in grocery stores for less than what I can buy them for if I were to walk in the front door of the distillery. If you are so inclined, you can go to the distillery, sample, purchase, risk a DWI and rub elbows with Seattle/Bellevue/Redmond/Kirkland/Woodinville snooty Deb's, or just buy it, go home, sit on the back deck, pour it, drink it and get kerschnockerd. I prefer the latter. Either way, it's all good (y) (y) (y)

We don't know anybody named Austin...........

Put. Your. Glasses. On.

Fuk, I'm well on my way to being in the bag and I got it.

(Yes, you deserved that. What, with all the marvelous foody pic's you've been posting lately. I had raw chicken kebaps at a customer lunch today. Waiting for the "onslaught". Might as well be drunk when it happens.....
BTW, how's the gut doing ?)

People undercook Kebobs all the time for some dam reason. Anywho, looks like you're set for the night. Have a good trip back buddy. Gut? It's doing alright. Just dealing with the same Belt issue I had when the other body part was extracted from damn near the same spot. All in good time.........
