Maggie’s What's Your View II

Damn.
@Mooseknuckles - I wont lie man. Saw your post this AM before church (hadnt started drinkin yet, cept coffee) and it hit me like a ton a bricks.
I always wanted more kids which I have now, but not those memories of their births. That is a magical moment.

Sleep is for pussies. Being a dad is awesome.

Keep kickin ass.

Little up date:
Momma and baby are doing great. They are doing hearing test today and giving Hadlee a bath. As long as everything else is good we will be going home today.
Our other daughters quote from yesterday. “Well mom and dad can come home and she can stay here” lol!! I laughed pretty hard at that one.

Well go the word from the doc, not going home today. Got to stay one more day.

Messing around with a new toy and some old handloads.

Factory Remington 700 .308
McMillan HTG
Bushnell 10X

I had to laugh when I looked through the scope at those 1” squares. At 10X they look mighty small?

I slapped a Vortex D.T. 4-16 on my AR just for fun. Popping clay pigeons at 400 yards was a blast. It was heck of a lot easier to see my impacts and adjust than with my 1-8.

@Bryan W M - laughing because I have been there.
My daughter was the easiest kid to potty train.
oldest one took FOREVER to be able to make it through the night. Kid has an IQ off the damn charts. Also took him till 8 to be able to tie his shoes.......
He is maturing and catching up on stuff now. Just wasn't an issue or priority.

Hi,

Aren't there supposed to be elk up in that area?
Where are they at?

Sincerely,
Theis
Lots of elk up here, they are laying low after getting chased for 4 months.

We ended up home today. A big relief for everyone. My oldest daughter was excited we were back home with her new baby sister. Momma and baby are doing great.
My daughter likes singing to her when she is in the swing. It’s pretty cute.

First, @Mooseknuckles that just made me smile so darn big. Just freakin perfect. That Joy (and exhaustion) will keep going. Love it!!

@oneshot86 - dude, best cover the size. I seen pictures of you and you dont have feet boys size 5-8.......? We would like to see a video of a youngster roller skating on that stuff though.

at the rest of you, great stuff, have a good one. I still have dishes to finish and a bit of a premium vino to finish.

Due to funky parent/kid schedules I am people free in the AM. Plan to be on top of a mountain in the foothills on the west side of town to watch the sunrise.
Im far from perfect (aint we all) and my faith is a huge part of my life. A beautiful sunrise has a lot of meaning to me about the new day and our new beginning that started with his birth. A cup of jet black coffee on a mountain top is a good way for me to reflect and enjoy that best gift.

take care and Merry Christmas gents.

On schedule for a record breaking temp tomorrow on Christmas Day of 55 degrees. I know I always post dopey pics of my rifles shooting off the deck (yawn). But, today I’ll include the “paperwork”. If you look at shot #1 it proves that an idiot can make a proper wind call once in a while. The orange dot on steel is 1.5”
