My son was helping his Mimi clean out after Papous passing and they found his old brass EGA from his dress blues.

Mimi wanted it shined up and she wants to keep it so son was given the task.

I decided an EGA needs a cover. First one I have built since I left in November of 90.

Daughter wanted in too.

He didnt do a bad job shining the brass.

The cover is a mess though almost 30 years in the attic has crazed the patent leather brim and the chin strap is crumbling.

The vinyl cover was one of my inspection ones, still in a bag priced at $10.45.

Mimi will be happy

That looks like a lot of work Geno! Other than the base coat, I assume the color is done by hand?

Yeah, all the colors are hand painted, I'll use the airbrush to blend the main and tail in, around the hooves, inside the nose, mouth and ears, and couple other things that have yet to be determined.

Left blade worm drive style, takes a full size 7 1/4" blade. Normally I purchase bare tools, have plenty of batteries. This came with the fast charger and a 60V 9AH battery for $80 bucks more. Cuts like the Skil 77 with a lot less weight.

I'm going to work the shit out it this year, we'll see how it stands up.

The last Bridge before Home. The Grays is about to POP. Once that River peeks there is no hope of getting home short of taking a boat or donning the chest waders.

Fields next to my road are filling with standing water already. The Seagulls, ducks, n geese's are loving it. Pretty soon the field mice will be boiling outta the ground and the Hawks n Ravens will be gorging. Always fun to run down there with the pellet gun and pop'm while they're swimming.

Wow, bunghole pucker there. The Child Bride will ask me how the day went, I'll hold up my hands and say " 5 and 5, it was a good day".

My other two saws are both Skil worm drives, a 77 Mag and a 77 Mag LT. Left hand drive, one can at least see when he's going to nip a digit or three. Nothing beats a worm drive for torque.

What did ya whack the Yote with Rthur? Looks like ya opened him up a tad. Looks like his head bounced when he went Dead. That impression of his head above his head is awesome.

Love the worm drive saws. They're all we use for frames. The 8" saws are great when cutting 51/2" glue lams. I've never used a battery powered worm drive. Would be interested in how it performs . Would like to use it up high, cords are a pain in the ass and just get in the way when your up in the air. As you can see with the Dewalt in the rear left, came down two floors!

Makes my little 6.5" battery saw feel like a DIY toy. I can surely see it being used on roofs, rafters, knocking off a few cuts rather than running a cord, etc.

It's not going to replace the corded Skil's, but it sure will compliment them. I'm thinking to run a 40 tooth finish blade in it for cleaner cuts on 1x pine board. With what little it did today, I'm impressed, we'll see how the battery lasts on the next deck job.

The only con discovered so far is the safety on the trigger. A 1/8" hole and a loop of black tie wire will fix that, just don't tell those OSHA pricks.

Hope nobody was standing under the Dewalt above.

First thing that always breaks on all our tools are the safety's and the blade guards . and the battery powered worm drive would be for specialty purposes only. After the rafters are up, we string them and cut the few that are protruding, if any, gives us nice straight sub facia. And nobody but the saw got hurt! Please keep me posted how you like the battery saw. The 20 and 28 volt battery saws we tried didn't cut it!

The nice thing about their 60V stuff is the batteries will work with the 20V tools and give a longer run time.

What do you want to know? Rifle is just a 10/22T, Kidd trigger, EGW rail, and Leupy 3.5-10x40.

I typically shoot off our deck with centerfires out to 1K prone, but kind of neglect the other positions unless I’m whacking some unwelcome critter. Here is 3 I put on the diamond at 50 yards from the tripod standing.

On a side note; we had 2 of our small horses with the tails broken off, no real good way to reattach them. Ride manufacturer said they can't get them anymore. Found a lady on eBay and as it turns out she bought the molds from the company that made our originals. We ordered 3 so now I'll have a spare.

R may be correct. I copied a blank version (can’t recall whose or from where), then tweaked it and added things I like and use to fit how and where I shoot. When finished, I write nasty notes to myself (self critique) and put them a 3 ring binder for the particular system I was shooting. I was born without vision or an imagination, so I steal ideas anytime I can. Others have asked the same question, if you PM me your email, I have them in a PDF format that I can send you.

Not familiar w/10-22’s (yeah, I know....). Nice looking stock, looks like a fun shooter. Is the stock “stock”, or aftermarket ?
I do have a Sig 522, tons of Fiocchi sub and a can.....a real hoot to shoot.

Yup, that’s the factory stock. They are fun, but the LOP is a bit short for an adult. Fits my kids (15 and 13) just right. Mine lives on a steady diet of Wolf Match Extra. Your rig would be fun as well, especially with a muffler!
