My day wasn't as picturesque as yours but do agree about the standstill, for a while anyhow...
Hell yes
Shooting is a healthy sport if you choose. There are a lot of options to get out and restore targets (paint). Never hurts to go for a late afternoon walk.

Moving some dirt in the baby JD to fill some holes.
Well crap, I felt really bad last Friday and couldn’t get in anywhere until Sunday evening. I tested positive for SARS CoV-2 RNA or Covid 19. After five days of a slight fever, loss of taste, smell, and eight pounds, with excruciating back pain…..Covid died!

Thanks, and good luck. I'm much better still tired and a little foggy but thank God the back pain is gone. That was the worst, I've had a lot of back injuries in my almost 70 years and had to crawl to the bathroom but nothing like this. It was a cross between someone hitting you just below the shoulder blades with a 2X4 and the skin sometimes feeling like an extreme sunburn.
Add a pack, 4k foot climb, crampons, and 12.5k ft ASL.
Snow over your knees too.
Then the fun begins.
I bet you got to do some of that crap in a previous life though.
Shoot. Might hafta take the lady on a winter 14er for a date next weekend.
See if she gonna be tough enough for the PockeyClips.
She will kick my ass and use my carcass as a sled on the way down.

Not really my view. A buddy of mine sent me this pic from our recent Virginia snow storm; his power was out for five days.

Spring: 1 month of melting snow and slop everywhere
Summer: 5 months of tourists and mosquitoes
Fall: 1 month of solid rain
Winter: 5 months of cold and snow
Rinse, repeat…

Little bit of pre use maintenance for the genny. Supposed to get an ice storm Saturday night/Sunday ish. A good once over and cleaning just to make sure we get some error free running if needed.
When they say 8lb per person... he’s a person!!
Hopefully I find a good load for the 142smk creed.

Had to take the solar charger off a feeder because of the friggin’ raccoons, and as I was getting ready to leave did a test run to make sure everything else was still working.

We had a 1/2" of snow last night and according to the local weather station it's the end of the world as we know it! They could replay the same news cast from last year and nobody would now the difference

Decided the piston kit needed a home. Doing some tinkering to see how I can get it to run on a 7.5 inch 7.62x39 blaster. Might as well make it as close to “AK” as it can be
^^Good to see the flash can on there. I had an 8.5" AR in 5.56 and that sumbitch would rattle your teeth.
