where to shoot 600-1k? in oregon

Tri county in Sherwood does 600 on Tuesday nights I believe only in the summer. Need to be a member. COSSA in Bend does 1000 and you need to be a member as well....I shot there as part of a class that I took from OTS Northwest. Mitch

Why do they x-ray guns on military flights?

my mom is a flight attendant and back in Desert Storm flew volunteer flights to get troops to Saudi. She said the troops hand carried their rifles but had to check any knives in their luggage. FAA rules make a lot of sense  Sent from my SGH-T769 using Tapatalk 2

    .5 MOA Rifle??

unless there is something totally unique or sentimental about the rig I would request a refund and move on. How much time, money and energy will you have to expend to get it to where you we're promised. And then you'd still have a rifle in your quiver that reminded you of all the headache...

Gunsmithing Want to learn to use mill/lathe

It's a bit like saying "I want to learn to shoot, what DVD can I learn from?" As already recommended may e find a vocational or community college class that you could take to learn theory, hands on and most importantly safe practices. Mitch Sent from my SGH-T769 using Tapatalk 2

Sniper rifle calibers, matter of future availability.

I'm much less worried about hypoteticals and more about our current situation. I think 6.5 creedmore is the current hotness and I'd want one but it seems like loaded ammo and component availability is limited. For the near future with the limited and recreational shooting I do 308 is good enough...

    Gunsmithing anti-seize for brakes?

Are,you using the brake as a thread protector when your can is not on or are you going to have that brake one there "permanently"? If you use the permuted anti seize wear gloves and apply sparingly. Last time I used it it I had a mess to deal with. If something more permanent use some loctite...

Should I be content or disappointed with these groups???

Have you had someone else shoot it "as is"? Or someone observe you shooting it? Obviously if you're shooting matches like Kettle Falls you know what you're doing but maybe there's something subtle going on? Mitch Sent from my SGH-T769 using Tapatalk 2

    Rifle Scopes Souper Dooper Scope.

Re: Souper Dooper Scope. The eyebrow splitter feature sounds awesome! Is the gauze in the packaging or does the blood from your eye just spill down into the action to lubricate your bolt?

    Kimber rifles quality?

Re: Kimber rifles quality? I've got an Advanced Tactical in 308 and like it. I'm just getting into shooting rifles from a USPSA handgun background so maybe I don't know the difference, but I've sent a 1.5" group at 300 yards. Would I have paid full retail for one brand new? Probably not...
