Join the contestReloder 15 also works great with the 130's. Haven't tried the 15.5 yet.Thinking about getting into a 6.5x47, anyone speak to the performance of the 130gr bullets? What powders are best for that weight?
Appreciate that, I have been looking for the 136 grain Scenars but will also try the 120’s, most of my shooting is inside 600 yards so not a huge issue to me. ThanksI shoot a number of 6.5x47 barrels and for my shorter 20” I stick with the 120 Scenar-L. It doesn’t carry the distance like the heavies but still performs great out to 1200m. My particular load uses RL17 and CCI450s

The 136 Scenar-L used to be my go to bullet across most barrels until the Berger LRHT came out. They’re still a great option overall and it’s what I would fall back on if I exhausted my supply of 144LRHTs

I just ordered a box of 120’’s and 136’s, I will be losing them over VV N540 in Lapua brass.Appreciate that, I have been looking for the 136 grain Scenars but will also try the 120’s, most of my shooting is inside 600 yards so not a huge issue to me. Thanks
I think you'll find N540 works great with the 120s, but is a tad fast for 136s, if you're trying to squeeze the most out of them. I use N550 for the heavies these days.
Thanks for the tip, right now all I have is N540 but will keep an eye out for N550, will N150 work as well for the 136’s in this application?I think you'll find N540 works great with the 120s, but is a tad fast for 136s, if you're trying to squeeze the most out of them. I've never thought of using 2000-MR in the 6.5x47 but have 8 pounds of it that I bought for another cartridge. Thanks for the post, I'll give it a try26 inch proof competition barrel. Sped up 30 FPS at 150 rounds.

38.8 gr of Alliant 2000-MR. 2840 fps. 90 degrees 3000 DA.
A very consistent and accurate combination.

Can you share your load data and barrel length pleaseSame, 144 LHRTs are my go to these days using N550

One of my barrels is a 1:8, so I tried a box just to see what they could do. Was able to get them to 2625fps out of a 26" barrel with N550, but overall didn't seem like an improvement over the 144 LRHTs that I have several boxes of. It may be better suited for 6.5PRC or 6.5-284.

Haven’t tried 139s, but I’ve had excellent luck with 136 Scenar Ls. In my experience they are some of the most consistent bullets made, even if the BC is a little lacking compared to other newer options.Has anyone had any luck with the 139gr Scenar? Have not seen many discuss it for 6.5x47? Looking to get into the calibar and doing some research.
