This load is with a cooler lot of H4350 from what we've seen of the lots we have tested.

I have the October 2016 issue of Handloader Magazine. There is an article on reloading the 6mm Creedmoor beginning on page 34. The author of the article, John Haviland, included a chart on page 36 showing the performance in a JP Rilfes semi-auto for various powders. Regarding Varget, he gives three loads, 34.5 grains at 2,691 fps group size .70 inch, 35.5 grains at 2,780 fps group size .96 inch, 36.0 grains at 2,818 fps group size .80 inch.
He mentions that the JP web site has a statement that gas guns will not tolerate the pressures that a bolt gun will so loads are conservative.
Hodgdon also has load data for bullets up to 100 grains, specifically the Berger 95 VLD TRGT is the largest target bullet listed.
Been working on my 6CM loads. Finalized my light load. Need to finish up my hunting load next. Hunting load is right at 3200fps w. 105 Hybrids.
Lapua SR 6.5CM brass necked to .273" then run through an expanding mandrel @ .241".

My go to load is 41.5 grains of H4350 pushing a 110 gr smk at about 3015 ft/sec using Lapua srp brass and a cci 450 primer. That gives me an SD of 5 and an ES of 15 over 10 rounds.
This was my go to load. Last time I went out, this load shot 1.8 moa at 100 yds. Is anyone else seen inconsistencies between boxes of 110's? The 108 gr eld behind 41.25 gr of H4350 was shooting in the 0.5's and below.

I picked up some 107's and 110's. The 110 is only 3 grains heavier, or 2.7 percent, yet it is 11 percent more efficient based on the ballistic coefficients. Looking at the 110 you can see there is quite a bit more material ahead of the bearing surface than on the 107.

Funny thing is, I posted this right before I went out to sight in with a new box of 110's. The groups went from the 0.4's and 0.3's to shooting 1.8 moa at 100 yds. The 110's are being about as consistent for me as they were for you.
Probably shot 2000 of the 110SMK in my 6CM and Dasher and all have been sub half moa ... never seen an issue. You buying these in 100 bullet lots - al mine were in 500 count boxes
I don't know if I would call mine inaccurate. I was getting great groups out of the 1st box I was using. And with the BC of the 110 it was really attractive, now not so much. I'm going with the 105 berger vld target with 41.25 gr of H4350. That was my second most accurate load. I also get really good accuracy with 41.25 gr of H4350 and the Hornady 108 eld. The 108 eld load was very close to factory ammo too. All loads are using lapua brass and the cci 450 primer.
Anyone try the lighter bullets,just sent my barrel to be spun up by West Texas Ordnance. Going to be a 16.5” 1-8. Hoping to be able to shoot the 75gr Vmax’s or 80gt BT’s. This will be my Barrel strictly for predator hunting.
I did load development today of the groundhog for my Q The Fix with 26” Proof barrel.

If you’re going to dedicate it to light bullets get a short throat. I did load development for 65gr BT Berger’s today and the base of the bullet was over the case mouth to touch the lands. I ended up at a .200 jump to have .100 of bearing surface in the case. Luckily the bullet jumps well, but I’d get a short freebore for light bullets.
Anyone using the Hornady 105 BTHP in the 6 creed? How is the accuracy of this bullet? What powder are you using?
Mine is not wanting to maintain accuracy very well.

Have you chronoed it lately? Wondering if the added jump and longer seating depth is changing your velocity, and getting you out of the accuracy node?

I have a 6.5SLR that I have not changed a single thing in my reloading for 2300+ rounds and it is still shooting well. Not the .1s it used to, but still in the .3s.

lennyo3034 since your running the bullet out, your changing the pressure inside of the case
try to add .1 of powder to your load, 41.0 and see if that helps any.

Blew primers with the dtac's at about 3100 fps

eventually ran them at 3080-3090, next lower node. Nodes run about .6 gr of powder apart.
The 115 dtac's weren't grouping good enough for me, I'd get a really good group and then one flyer

Question I have, what is the significance of SRP/LRP in the 6mm creedmore. Are people getting more consistency out of one? Longer case life? Etc. new to Reloading 6creed. Thanks in advance
I don't know about the low SD/ES stuff, the main reason I use SRP is because my brass lasts longer. If you're pushing pressures, the primer pockets will loosen up quicker in LRP vs. SRP. Thats my reason anyway.
I ended up picking up a Labradar and found that my barrel picked up 160(!) fps. I backed off the powder charge significantly just to make speed limit. Right now 40.5 grains of H4350 is pushing a 105 hybrid at 3150. SDs are not as good as at higher charges, but speed limit...
I have some rounds loaded with H4831sc to test out.
That's a pretty fast barrel with that charge weight, I ran 41.5 of h4350 and only got 3005 but that might be due to temperature.
I've run 110 SMKs in 2 barrels with H4350. Loads were 42.2 and 42.3 gr giving me about 3050 fps in 26" tubes. Trying out H4831SC in a new barrel now and 44.7gr is getting me 3050 and great accuracy in a 26" tube. No pressure signs with any of the loads and all rain safe.
In my Hawkhill 26 inch, I was getting 3130+ - with the 110's and 42.2 of RL16
Nice shooting load, right their for 200-300 rounds, then fell off.
I've got another barrel sitting in the basement, thinking of using it
for experiments on slower powders, (4831, RL23, RL26, IMR4955 and maybe H1000)
would like to see if I can get to 3100fps and have longer barrel life.

In my first barrel, also a 26" Hawkhill (7.5tw), I was getting 3150 with 110s and 43.5 (iirc) H4350. Was a laser but I backed it down to a lower node at 42.3 gr (3050fps) to minimize barrel wear. I stopped shooting that barrel in big matches at about 1400 ads but I've been running it for local matches as a science experiment and it's still shooting tight at 1800+ rds now. My 2nd barrel, also a 26" Hawkhill (8tw) is at 1200+ rds now, originally ran 42.2 H4350 and had to bump that up to 42.5 when I changed powder lots to stay at 3050 fps. Still shoots great. I have another barrel chambered up for that rig but haven't spun it on yet. I have a 3rd barrel in play on my backup gun (26" Xcaliber 7.7tw) and I get 3050 fps with the 110s and 44.7 gr of H4831sc and it shoots bugholes. I'm curious to see if barrel life is longer with the H4831sc but it's easier to source in 8lbs jugs than H4350 anyways.

Nice. What length barrel? My buddy thinks h4350 might not be as good since I have a long barrel. Thoughts?
Mine is a 24in barrel.... not sure what a 28incher would do. All in all the 6creed is easy to find a load for. I think it’s just a matter of how much performance you demand. If .5moa is fine than I think you’ll find something quickly. If you want .2’s and below than you’ll need to tune the shit out of it and even then the shooter has more imperfections than the load/barrel. Good luck and post back with your results

Well took it to a moa match that got canceled. Hooked up magnetospeed and 42.9gr rl22 103gr eldx avg was 3076fps sd5 and es11 for 5. 12 shots was 3079, 9, 23

I soft seat 0.030" in closing bolt shoves bullet back into case. I use a 2415" mandrill.
2975 m.v. I was getting bad Barrel Mirage with 41 gr. of h4350 and 41.5 gr. Five shots through the barrel and Barrel Mirage was pretty bad And 1 inch groups at 100 yards. but 39 grains is The Sweet Spot one hole at 100 yards. stopped the barrel Mirage also. I can shoot 10 shots before Barrel Mirage starts to be visible. It's capable of 3" 830 yards. I only shoot three shot groups no need to shoot five with something that accurate it already proved itself when you put three shots in that small of a group why shoot two more I'm not in no competition and don't care to be never was interested in competition shooting. But I shoot 3 days a week all season. It truly blows my mind that you can drill a hole through a piece of Steel and put rifling in it, and shoot a projectile with such precision. It also blows my mind that there is time meaning when you pull the trigger there is time for this the sear to release and drive the firing pin forward the firing pin hits the primer the primer is caved in and explodes and shoves a jet of gas through the center of the powder the powder Burns it does not explode the case swells the case slammed back against the bolt the bullet slams into the rifling and starts to travel down the barrel all in a fraction of time all that is done in time that I cannot fathom I have no way of measuring it. it's just interesting to me still to this day how all that happens and you can put three rounds on top of each other at 200 yards and some can do it even further.
I am also shooting a stock RPR gen 2 in 6mm creedmoor.

If you shoot 115 Dtac's and happen to use a hornady seater, you might want to pick up the new A-tip seating stem. It is a much better fit than the eld stem I was using. The A-tip stem fits down another .058" and is much closer to the ogive.
I'll seat some bullets later and update on if it improves bullet to bullet variation on base to ogive measurements. The ELD stem seemed to be running about .003"

After loading a few, it does in fact seem to be seating now to with in .001"
I'm getting that kind of accuracy with h4350 I'm sure you've seen that. Not quite as fast as you. might give that powder a try someday...... thanks for replying
