The Gucci answer is FFS or Coldbore on a Trimble if you
are ok with spending a few thousand $$ .
I was a die hard Trimble guy. Lastshot and his hi-tech ways kept saying to get a hardened Panasonic. He was probably right.
Anyway - I blame him for me getting a cheap ass windows phone without a sim (no service) and $50 a investment. Runs Coldbore great!
Depends on what app you chose . I’m loving the Garmin
701 with AB right now . Also use second hand phone
picked up very cheap , with a couple of apps on it . In
most countries , you can get a prepaid SIM card with 12
months of credit ( enough to download apps and make
a few calls if necessary ) for $20 or less . That way you
don’t need to use your primary mobile phone in the field ,
and you have a backup phone .

LOL, well, I mean you can get a pretty good windows phone for a fraction of what most electronics cost. There are brand new quad core models on amazon for 47 dollars hahaYou guys are buying windows phones just to run cold bore? Must be some good stuff. Yikes.
