Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

So you are implying that the actions I bought for less or equal money should have these same marks? That when the price goes up and is no longer introductory the machining marks will no longer be present?

Smart ass mode over. Honestly, I don’t think they would have lesser standard for finish (or whatever the correct technical term is) for an introductory offer. They haven’t in the past. At least not that I have seen.
I don't expect a change in areas that don't matter when the introductory price goes up. You're still getting the most technically advanced bolt action made for the new price.

I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say:
the guys in the video certainly are subject matter experts in machining, and still you can see what people call 'machining marks' on their bolt (when uncoated and under certain lighting conditions). Without further surface treatment, I consider that normal! It doesn't affect function and there is no reason to remedy it because it doesn't matter.

I wasn't replying to you.

For the 3rd or 4th time, what youre seeing in the pictures are artifacts of low light and a crappy iphone camera. Bolt nose, yes there are marks. I also see a small spot on the tab behind the bolt handle as well that shows up in my trigger pics. You will 100% not be disappointed in the finish, wait till you have it in hand. Would put this $900 receiver up against anything, at any price. I have no connection with ARC.

Geez. All of these actions showing up. What did I do wrong? I was refreshing like a meth head until my order went through on the 8th.

Just a heads up for the folks that ordered a right handed long action, per the nice lady at ARC, they expect to ship sometime in June. I checked on mine yesterday.
So I guess that means my short and long are shipping together in June since I haven’t yet gotten a shipping notice and was supposed to get a single digit serial number.

we’re just past 09:50 am orders send me your order time and 20 bucks and I give you my best estimate about when it’s going to happen
I am 09:54 am nothing on sight yet.
Then will queue up for the highfive, Vlad

Just made sure they were combining some items for shipping and they said they were waiting for some receivers from coatings. Should be a week.

My order was 9:44am on release day.

So, for all who have already received your actions, please stop watching gay midget porn and please open a new thread of CDG builds. We ( the lucky ones who havent got it yet) will stay here whining with trolls complaining about nanoscratches for another few thousands posts more at least
On it!

I’m going to reiterate something I said quite a few pages back. There had better be at least one build thread named something like “the coup plot is complete”

That ejection port is HYUGE! Kinda unnecessary. Figure they'd want a lil more material in the action for rigidity reasons. Maybe it was for weight? That phatass bolt looks good, and all it's momentum prob really makes it feel smooth and effortless.

I’ll bet he had a reason. Could be manufacturing. Maybe it keeps the cartridge from bouncing off of the rear edge of the port etc. Ted doesn't do things for no reason usually.
