Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

It’s a 22inch Proof carbon fiber in sendero profile. Sent the blank to PVA. Chambered in .308 because I didn’t want any issues with the AW Mags. Also, I’m not planning on going past 800 with this gun. Just meant as the dream hunting rig.
I got the same barrel. Lights out with Hammer 137HH and 154HHT! Most lethal hunting round I've tried.

I've been following this thread since the beginning and I have a long action on order. Sorry If this has already been discusses and I missed it, but has anyone attempted a CG universal 2-stage yet? Or know if there's any reason its a no go?

Not knowing anything about the CG Universal, from the picture, it looks like you may have to do some work to make it fit, due to the safety lever and the bolt release. Again, just a guess.

Awesome thank you. Was curious who did the blank.

Also, does anyone know if there are any AW mags now that will work for SAUM? Or are we just SOL if we want a short action mag with the CDG?

Finally got to shoot my second hand CDG... OMG I love it.. looked down bore to get reticle as close as possible. One shot for a start point clicked in windage and elv correction then stacked round after round. it's better than 1/2moa shooting factory 140eld-m 6.5cm.
Now need to do some load development.

Everything’s QD when you’ve got an adjustable wrench.
So I’m sitting in a hotel in Vegas… and I’ve got my hard case with my drag bag and a TRG 42 in 300 win mag…

I checked the rifle and realize that somehow I have moved the scope when I last took it apart. Clearly, I did not put it together in the same position, and I have Richard Near’s super mount on that rifle.

…and, of course… For some reason, I forgot my small tool kit that I take with me when I travel.

Now, the hotel has a button on the phone that says “anything, anytime.“ Up until this point I’ve been assuming that button is just for hookers and condoms…

I press the button and get the other person on the other end of the phone: “ hi, I need an adjustable wrench… what can you do for me?” “ I suppose we can send maintenance up to your room, sir?” “ Awesome. Let’s make that happen….”

The maintenance guy arrives and promptly freaks the fuck out, though I did get to eventually use the adjustable wrench he brought with him.

QD Mounts… just ‘cause.

Question, did anyone tried the pivoting bolt handle with less than 1lbs maybe around 8z trigger setting?

I'm looking at TT diamond and using it around 8oz. I know the recommendation is to use the non pivoting bolt handle....

I installed a TT Diamond. I had to tweak the hanger so the uplift of the bolt would just barely have some drag. This allowed me to set the diamond to 14oz without the firing on close when I slammed the bolt closed. I set to 1lbs for my preference and some safety. When I had the hanger set with too loose on bolt uplift I had fire on close when running the bolt hard.

I thought there was a listing recently for $900 and that included shipping. So the seller actually took a slight hit. Amazing deal for whoever picked it up.
Yep, timing is everything, surprised it lasted 7 minutes. Felt like I should have went to the casino that night. It did cost me $120 to order another pivoting handle and bolt knob,..don't care.

It fired, or just didn't grab the cocking piece?

Nobody gives a shit about your petty bullshit . Shut the fuck up and let the thread continue without your childish ignorance .
Look, @LeftyJason isn't just pointing out a small grammatical error. Unclench & unpucker ye hole of butt.

Word definition is not “petty bullshit”. But misuse of a semicolon might fall into that category.

For example, consider that you need to know the definition of Each. Word. You. Use. in order to be understood.

However, due to constant misuse and misunderstanding, I put words like penultimate into the same category in which inflammable resides (and to a lesser extent, unloosen): best usually to avoid.

Mine was $925 shipped and I wondered if the seller might have taken a hit. I hope not. I also picked up a new unfired second hand pva barrel for less than retail shipped. I think I've probably used up all of my luck when the action came along. then the barrel.. afterwards I called arc and found they had some "older revision" xylo chassis that I got one for 20% off list. TBT both the action and barrel fell into my lap. The action the seller listed and I missed out on it.. then the seller decided to offer me his 2nd one and to go back on the waiting list since he didn't need it for a while. The same happened with the barrel. I missed out on one listing only to get a PM from another seller wanting to offload his barrel quickly as he decided to go a different caliber. All I can say is this.. This forum is filled with some great people. I just hope maybe one day I can give a good deal to someone else like I got. I also hope those who have been waiting in line get their actions soon as I do feel like I cut in line and made out like a bandit. If anyone who is in NorthWest indiana or in wabash county tomorrow at bass and bucks wants to see my gun let me know in a PM and I will be happy to show it off..

Believe me, I tried everything except for throwing it off the roof to get it to trip before I trusted it to shoot a couple of matches with it.
I'm running my diamond at factory tension and also have a pivoting bolt. I have not been able to get a trip either. I think default should be 2lbs and honestly I don't think I want to try any less resistance. I'm happy at that with a single stage.

I'm curious what makes the CDG that sensitive. I have 2 Archimedes action, one with TT diamond set at 4oz, and have no misfires , at least not yet.
That is why I selected the pivoting handle which I like.
Decisions......

Yup that seller looks a slight hit. Because I'm sure their FFL charged them a transfer fee.

I tried to sell a couple of PVA 6.5CM barrels here for less than I paid, but didn't get anyone to buy them. I was going to go in a different caliber direction, but that didn't seem to go as planned.

IIRC your price wasn’t quite low enough. They disappeared at $550 when another guy sold his.

Finally got the CDG out to fireform some 6BRA. AW mag needs some more tuning and polishing. Works great if you run the bolt quick, but if not it causes the second round in the mag to nose dive. But pretty much 90% feeding with an standard AW
