Correct. Had a big educational lesson from Bella today (She's absolutely awesome)
I ended up having to change my setup due to compatibility issues. What I originally wanted was the Mausingfield with the dovetail rings and a flush fitting BDL magazine in 300 PRC in a HNT26 chassis. No go - not to mention even if I could it was going to be $2,600 for just the action, rings, and bottom metal. I'm not opposed to spending money to get what I want, but when I can get a Coup De Grace lightweight action with a 3rd AICS mag and picatinny rings for ~$1100 it is kind of a no brainer. The Mausingfield really only offered controlled feed which, while nice, is not worth $1,500.
But then I had more issues. Getting a magnum cartridge to fit into a flush fitting HNT26 compatible magazine. I can't understand how what I'm looking for is so unusual. A long action magnum cartridge with a lightweight action & chassis seems pretty straightforward, but I ended up with the following:
Coup De Grace Lightweight Action
300WSM/6.5 PRC 3rd Magazine
Proof 22" Barrel
Trigger Tech Special 2 Stage
HNT26 w/ ARCA
Alaskan 360TI Suppressor
Should have it put together in about a month.
This thing is going to be an absolute hammer. The only thing left is to figure out an optic that fits the simplistic/lightweight goals of the rifle, but lets in a lot of light.
