here's what I'm looking for...

This is the kind of stock I'm looking for, for my new savage 308 model 10. However I DO NOT want to spend $900+ for just a stock. If I'm gonna spend that kind of dough I'd just buy another AR-10. Does anyone know of a decent stock for relatively cheap money that fits the bill? My only requirements are it must have an adjustable butt stock and adjustable cheek piece with a free floating barrel. Also my gun has the 4.40" action bolt spacing. Any info would be great!

Oh no I definitely DO care how it's built.. however I don't know if there are other similar types of stocks out there that are just as good quality-wise and with the same adjustability but not SO expensive?

McRees would be about 750, which is close to what you're looking for.

XLR would be about 800-850 depending upon your options

PDC Custom is an option, but I never priced them out for my Model 10. Great looking stock, though.

I did not think of calling Savage to order just the stock, but once I saw the others, I didn't need to!

Maybe it's just the JPEG compression but (s)he has a big crotch. Oh well, if the scar tissue is more than five years old, it's a woman.

Uh...it's called humor. Look at the shading around her crotch. Kinda gives it a 3D effect and makes it look likes she's packin'. Sorry I had to explain it to you.
