Overall the new a-tips are meeting the hype at 100yds. Still need to experiment at range. The data coming out of the Kestral indicates great performance in the wind vs. 105 Bergers.

Feedback from a recent range trip using the new 6mm 110gr A-tip at 100yds.

Rifle:
Surgeon action in AI AX Chassis
26" bartlien barrel 1:7.5
Trigger Tech

Initial load with light ejector marks:

Lapua brass
H4350 41.4gr
.30 off
3090 FPS

Yes the target with one hole is three rounds

That's EXCELLENT. If you wanna avoid pressure, consider a slightly slower-acting powder like Reloder 16, 17. I've used both and they're magical. With Reloder 17 you would probably be able to drop the charge to 40-40.5g and keep the same velocity.

Not to derail the thread @clcustom1911 have you noticed any perceivable barrel life difference with RL 16/17 compared to H4350 and Varget? OP nice group, interested to see what these silver bullets do at distance.

Thanks. No data on barrel life. This is my first 6mm Creedmoor and I have 500rds shot so far. Will let you know later on barrel life. I have some RL16 and will give it a try.

My last 6.5 Creedmoor got about 2500 rds with H4350. My load was 43gr H4350 pushing 147gr ELDs @2820

Will give RL16 a try since I have some lying around.

Fun little experiment I ran at 100 yards a little while ago. I haven't tried the A-Tips at distance yet, but the factory load and ELD-M both grouped very well at 477 yards. Didn't have enough A-Tips with me to test those. Next time I have free time (lol) I will do a side by side on all 3 at distance. I did very minimal load work up on the A-Tips and I probably won't pursue them given the cost delta. That being said, I bet they could be tightened up a bit with some tweaking of the load and even running ~80FPS slower, the higher BC has them out performing the ELD-M slightly at 1100 yards in my calculator.

These are 5 round groups. There is a considerable velocity spread between these 3 loads. 2930, 3100, 3020.

@Meety Peety how much were you jumping the A-Tips?
Tips like jump. I started tuning at around .015 off with the .264 153 grain in PRC. With Dasher the 110's shoot very, very well at just over .030" off.
32.5 grains Varget in the Dasher (Lapua brass) was dead in the middle of an accuracy node.

I am jumping them .030 off. Not sure if 110gr A-TIPs bring value for me in 6mm. It's hard to beat 105gr Hybrids at half of the cost.

The 135gr A-TIP in 6.5 Creedmoor is another story. I went 10/10 at 1000yds with my initial load. Current load is 42.8gr H4350 at 2890 fps.

Be mindful, they are very long...at .030 off at max AICS mag length. I used to shoot 147gr hornady, but found it too much bullet in the case.
