You bought and returned (IIRC) 6 ZCO's for reasons that you have not/will not disclose. You invoke CS Tactical in your little fantasy and attempt to get them to validate it. They (rightfully so) attempt to distance themselves from you. CS Tactical is a great outfit, but they are not relevant to your situation and have no reason or motivation to participate in your little tizzy, whatever in the hell it was/is.

You continue to trash ZCO (and apparently now, S&B), but you get your panties in a wad when people call you out. Particularly because you haven't provided/refuse to provide a complete picture of the history of your "problems" with ZCO.

You don't know how to do a Tall Target Test and are apparently too lazy to even Google it to find out. You can excuse people for being skeptical of someone that professes to have had wholesale "problems" with one or two of the world's leading optics. And you wonder why people are questioning your credibility.

After reading your last thread about bashing ZCO and now this one, I'm left wondering when it is that you'll start trashing March and "return" it/them to your dealer, who I would assume is pretty tired of your shit by now. If I were an optics dealer and I saw you coming, I'd quickly run, lock the door and flip the "Open" sign over to "Closed" and pull all the shades down.

I’ve never done a TT test. I’m mainly a varmint shooter who doesn’t (yet) dial and uses xmas tree holds, but I still should learn to do a TT test to confirm my scopes adjustments.

I own or have used S&B, TT,Kahlas,NF, Zcomp Hensolt Valdada and Zeiss and March Genesis scopes. Having said that to my eyes I prefer Zeiss ,S&B, Kahlas and Zcomp glass but that is just me. March NF Hensolt and TT are all very good scopes but I like the others better. I did sit and look thru a Genesis at an ELR match from 1780 to 3085 yards and it didn't look better than my S&B but that's just me but as I said that is to my eyes and I use glasses to shoot. Not every scope will look good to every person that are a lot of variables. When people ask me what scope to get I tell look thru as many as you can and get the one that looks good to you and has the features you want.

@carbonbased In my (feeble) defense, it's sometimes difficult to follow the various twists and turns in threads. It would help if I had some mind-reading ability but sadlyl, I have none. So I always try to be nice and respectful even when responding to blithering idiots.

I have very limited experience with the Genesis as I've only ever handled the 6-60X56 at SHOT several years ago and played a little with a 4-40X52. One thing that struck me about the Genesis is that I wouldn't want to be struck by one. These riflescopes are built like absolute tanks, of the Abrams variety.

I'm following this thread, and learning more about them from someone who is using them.

I have an old USO SN3 T-PAL 5-25X56mm that thing looks like I strapped a kids telescope on my rifle!

I have seen it.
It is a nice scope, just not the type I typically use, so I was never itching to review one.
From what I recall, it is a really excellent day time scope. They throttled down the exit pupil substantially in order to really cut down on glare/flare/etc and it worked beautifully, but it needs a good amount of light. If you like high magnification and shoot ELR, it should be a really excellent option.

It is a very large scope (center rifle), built like a tank (very solid optic). I love the optic but it doesn't leave me any room for night vision equipment. I bought it before USO moved from CA.

Over the past months i have had many top tier optics fitted to my Desert Tech HTI.. S&B 5-25 / 3-27HP , Nightforce ATACR 7-35 , Leica 5-30 , ZCO 5-27 and 8-40 and what i thought was the top of the tree...Tangent Theta 5-25..

I had heard so much about the March Genesis 6-60 ... Superb glass and it would also allow me to get away from using a prism in front of my optics for ELR.

Took a punt and purchased 2 Genesis 6-60,s...one with the FMA reticle and one with the FML TR1 reticle.

Myself and a good friend today did some quick comparisons to my Tangent.......set both on 25x we were shocked how much better the March is!!! Much much sharper , better contrast and depth .
The March is like looking through a wide open , bright, clear window.....in comparison the Tangent is narrower in the field of view, darker and far less contrast and depth!!

Sharpness and clarity the March wins hands down.!!

Very surprised just how much better "Optically" the March is.....

This coming weekend it will be atop my HTI for some in the field usage....cant wait..

Note.......pic attached shows an image ( shitty Phone Camera Pic) of the Tangent and March this Avro looking at 1400yds across a hot, shimmery paddock. In real life it was VERY easy to see the advantage the March has over the Tangent..

I thought the March Genesis was a cool scope but it was too big and a bit more coin than I wanted to pay so I went with a smaller and more economical ZCO 840.

DEON (manufacturer of March Scopes) is a small custom manufacturer carefully handcrafting scopes with great attention to detail. Not only do we pay attention to the material as mentioned below, but we conduct thorough inspections for all our scopes. Instead of spot checks, all scopes, regardless of the model, are subjected to a 20-point inspection, including a tracking test, box test and shock resistance test etc. before shipping. And only those that pass the tests with high accuracy can be shipped. This is possible because we are a small custom manufacturer with limited production, and we can test each and every scope manually as well.
Tracking test
This is to confirm that the reticle is moving without deviating from the width of the line, just as athletes run within the width of the line in track and field events. A tracking test is different from a box test. It is not like a box test, where you click a certain number of times and then return to the starting position. If a scope fails the tracking test, it means that it is moving off center axis.
Box test
Hold the scope stationary and turn the elevation/windage dial 10 clicks to the right, 10 clicks down, 10 clicks to the left, and 10 clicks up until a square is drawn. Finally, if the reticle returns to the starting position, it is accurate. If the reticle deviates from the starting position, it means that the box test has failed.
Shock resistance test
All March Scopes, regardless of the model, can handle the impact of 1000G (1000 times of gravity). In the pictures, scopes are violently struck from directly above and from the side on a steel stand. We also conduct a drop test. Horizons Lord (rifle manufacturer in Ukraine) tested 4-40×52 Genesis scope with a wild cat cartridge based on the gigantic 14.5×114 caliber necked down to 50 caliber with 750gr Hornady bullet. The recoil is much larger than shooting with the normal 50 BMG cartridge traveling 1km per second. Reliability of 4-40×52 Genesis scope has been verified with 320 shots of 12.7×114. We also had a third party test our scope on a Spring air rifle. Spring air rifles are known as scope breakers due to a sharp double recoil movement as the spring goes forwards and backwards. We are proud to announce that we have passed their test too.
Regarding the material and parts, please be assured that March scopes are built precisely by hand by skilled craftsmen and all our March scopes are immensely strong to endure any severe conditions. They are Argon-filled for internal stability and are fully weather-resistant and waterproof to at least 4 meters. All our scope bodies, regardless of the model, are machined from solid aluminum bar stock discarding nearly 90% of it. By machining the scope body from solid aluminum bar stock, we do not stress the material and we are able to manufacture a very stable body with uniform density throughout. We eliminate the smallest distortion or eccentricity in the body and thus ensure that the body is perfectly aligned and will stay aligned through repeated firing and abuse thus providing you the shooter, with a dependable precision instrument. If the body is misaligned by just 1/100mm, this translates to 1cm at 100meter. (For American shooters: A .0005 misalignment in the body becomes a half inch deviation at 110 yards.) All our parts (inside and outside) used in March Scopes are made in Japan which are all top quality even in Japan where we have high standards. No internal part is made of plastic excepting the few parts that cannot be made of metal or glass because of the function they serve; for example, an insulator for the lighted reticle mechanism. Also we have tubes in two different diameters: 30mm tube and 34mm tube. Internal diameter is the same for both which is 26mm. This means that the walls of the 34mm tubes are 4mm thick. As we prioritize the durability of the scope, our 34mm body tube is simply just to make the scope extra strong. With its 4mm thick walls and the overall compact design, March-X and March-FX models are among the toughest riflescopes in the world.

It's the first time I've seen this picture of the Genesis with the cutaways. That is the 6-60X56 model. That's an interesting riflescope design, to say the least. It also shows the main tube with all the optical goodies (aka lenses) in it.

No, they are not scrimping on metal. The -X and -FX series have those thick 4mm walls in the main tube, but it seems that sniperhiders do not care for that. When I pointed out that there are differences in the thicknesses of the walls between various brands, and that I liked the very thick walls in my March-X 20-60X56 HM, that was pooped as just another worthless gimmick. I'm paraphrasing, of course, but that's the tenor of the comments.

I purchased my first March, a March-X 5-50X56, 10 years ago. It was on my F-TR match rifle for 8 years, during which time it aimed about 25,000 rounds in competition. I sent it back to March in 2019 to get a reticle swap, because my eyes could no longer discern the dot of the MTR-2 reticle. They replaced it with an MTR-5 and sent it back within a few weeks. I think it took 4 weeks door to door, and a few hundred $ for the work. It went back on the rifle and soldiered on for another year by which time, I swapped it out for a March-X 10-60X56 HM. The 5-50X56 went on my backup rifle. It still looks pristine after 10 years, 100plus matches, dozens of Nationals and State matches and 2 Worlds. And one big tumble; don't ask, I had to kickstart my heart, but I worried for nothing.

This speaks volumes.

Slightly off topic but you said you owned the Leica PRS. That is likely my next scope. How does it compare optically to the others you mentioned? ZCo? TT? March? NF? Can it hold it's own?

I can not find many in-depth comparisons with Leica. Id love to see it against the Zeiss S3, March FX 4-28, etc.
