Does anyone know where I can get a stock extension for the T1x MTR? I see there are some available for the T3X compact rifles but I have not yet been able to locate one for the T1X. The length of pull is much too short, I would probably like 2” of spacers to lengthen it up.

I put the T3x Compact pad on my T1x. A bit longer length of pull and I fit perfectly.

I just noticed the other day that proof is making t1x barrels. Going to probably see how the factory barrel shoots before I look into barrels but was curious if others are using aftermarket.

Finished up my build today with the addition of the vertical grip and another cheek piece spacer. I have been running practice drills with cheapo federal ammo out at my property to “season” the barrel. Tomorrow I’m bringing CCI Standard, SK Standard Plus, Norma Tac-22, and Eley Tenex to do some group testing at 50. Pray for me (and my checkbook) that the Tenex doesn’t shoot considerably better than the rest of the crew 😂.

Hello, I'm happy to share with you my achievements. I've got a tikka t1x that I bought to make precision rifle matches here in Italy, but I was unhappy with trigger, stock and lever. So I ordered a lever from stork in Australia, a timney trigger and a krg stock that is on his way. So my rifle jumped into open category.

I decided to go for the highest accuracy possible at a reasonable for me price and I ordered sk long range match ammo, but I know I could do better.

So I had a barrel tuner built under my specification by Maurizio Battaglino here near the city in which I live in Italy.

There are 2 principles that I know about barrel tuning, the vibration dumpening and the barrel length tuning.
This second one seems to me and from my experience with 308 and 338 the most reliable.

Today I tried the barrel tuner with sk standard and these are the results at 100 meters.

In positions around 12 there are no flyers and I'm really confident about where the bullets will go.

I tried to shoot at 200 meters and I felt really confident again. It was an amazing feeling.

I'm waiting for the stock and I will do the same with the ammo I will use in the matches.

I'm not sure I will post again, I'm not a big talker, but I thought I had to share some info since I really read a lot, so it's like a sort of giving back.

Have a great day all of you.
Looks like a good time! I agree with huntnh that the barrel tuner looks great. I also found on Saturday that SK Standard + shot the best out of my T1X, 5 five round groups between 1/2 and .65 MOA at 50 yards (laying down in my truck bed). Haven't shot it out farther than that yet.

i mean....have you seen a competitive rimfire benchrest gun with a barrel shorter than 24"?
Never paid any attention to competitive rimfire benchrest...

My question still stands, though. What is different with rimfire vs centerfire that makes a longer barrel more accurate?

Anyone care to share their average T1X groups at 50,100,200? Either Inches or MOA with either factory barrels or modified guns? Shot a little over 300 rounds tonight at those distances.

SK Standard plus still shooting best, even better than Eley Tenex. My 3, 10 round groups at 100 yards averaged out at 1.2”. My 2 10 round groups at 200 were at a 4” circle and I hit both 8/10 times with some nice center shots. Still not crazy about my trigger weight, might find a timney to put in.

I would also like to ask if anyone has trouble feeding Tenex? I loaded two magazines today and I had two light strikes and 2 bullets midway through the magazine fail to feed because they went nose up in the magazine. Doesn’t happen with SK or CCI?

Right after I shot my 100 yard groups, had a nice group of jakes and toms walk right past the target. Weren’t bothered a bit, despite trap league next door and the guy next to me shooting a 1938 Kar98 (which he was kind enough to let me shoot).

tuning. centerfire you tune with loading....rimfire you use a tuner. a tuner is much more effective on a 24" barrel.

What chassis is that?
Looking for something lightweight that will adjust very short for gaggle of grandkids of various sizes.
One of my own design; will be available Q4 of this year. Will work with adjustable AR stocks and will have our own folding stock coming out next year. Shoot me a PM if you want more info.

Does anyone know the weight of the factory 20in barrel by itself without the action? I'm swapping out for IBI flutted barrel (being made rn) and want to know how much extra front chassis weight I will need. IBI barrel 20in flutted is 1.25 kg (2.76 lbs).

Anybody have the left handed 22 on back order or heard any news on them?
I have nothing better to do while waiting on the A/C guy to fix some geothermal problems and I'm waiting on hold with Beretta USA right now to ask the same question.

Edit: Spoke with someone and they said they haven't heard anything either. No internal communications about it. They also said that when they get new products, there's a public release about a month beforehand (although not sure whether the news will come from Tikka or Beretta).

I've had one on order for seven months here in NZ.

Gun shop was told they should be arriving in early 2021, but they've heard nothing.

They know Beretta have had a couple of Tikka shipments land in this time, but nothing yet. Even the folks at Beretta locally say they don't have any info from Finland about when they'll be available.

Your second paragraph is what I heard when asking Europtic back in February.

I don't want to order til I know that they're actually here. I also have 2 lefty savages to sell as well.
