When I clean I do both rimfire blend and C4. It shoots fine after cleaning but takes about the same as littlepod so 'settle' in. It's not really that noticeable though. I think I'll stretch time/round count between cleanings. When I do clean, it cleans up fast and easy. Maybe soak the chamber (carbon ring). But then I'll just end up cleaning the barrel too. So...

But ever since using Boretech products on high end barrels, cleaning is a breeze. Barrels are so smooth.

Thank you @littlepod! I have only used C4 on my other rifles but was curious. Looking forward to getting it clean, running a box through it, and then seeing what the speeds are. The ace 20" barrel seems "fast" as it doesn't require near the dial at 200 that the CZ and Bergara require (6.9 versus approx. 7.9 mRAD) but this is all seat of the pants guess work until I get a chrono on it and have hard numbers.

Yes the Vudoo chambers are tight and nice, and generally a 20" barrel comparably is around 30-50fps faster than other rifles.

I have one lot of SKPM (1073fps ammo) that averages ~1083, and one lot that averages 1096. Both tested at ~75ºF. 20" MTU barrel.

I clean my rifle probably every 500 rounds. I notice that the longer I let my carbon ring get thicker, the longer I have "cold bore" variance where my carbon ring is softening. I think technically I will exhibit carbon ring issues probably at around 150-200 rounds, where I might have a cold bore shift. I never really drop accuracy in groups.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do at Nationals. I should document what my barrel does after 200 rounds, because on Day 2 of Nationals, my first shot of the day is going to be on a target for points, so if it happens to be a 1/4" KYL, I better know what my shift is for that first shot.

In general for local matches we have a zeroing in, so by the time I shoot for the stage my barrel is warmed up.

PRS 22 nationals had the zero range open the morning of day two so I cleaned after day 1. Not sure if that’s an option for NRL22.

I got curious enough about the fast-twist 22RF barrels last year to place an order for a 1-9tw Bartlein in sendero contour, and had intended to use it on the new Three-60 action when it arrived. But the Three-60, a Manners PRS1T, DBM, TT Diamond, and an Athlon Cronus had all been sitting out in the shop for about 6mo, so after I finally got a Newall DP700 DRO installed on the #2 lathe, I gave into temptation/impatience and did a Krieger 1-16tw sendero for it. Had finished it and just had time to get some initial shooing done when I got the email from Bartlein that the 1-9 had just shipped...

So now I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place, still wanting to do more shooting with the new Krieger, but at the same time, needing to scratch the itch and find out what sort of results I can get with the Bartlein 1-9 from 100-200yds. Still have over 1/2 case each of SK LR Match, Rifle Match, and Lapua Center-X I could test in it if I had it ready to screw onto the Three-60. I don't really think there's any real hurry though, as this spring weather pattern has been so unsettled ( pretty typical for what we normally see this time of year out here) that it'd be pretty tough to get a day or two with light enough winds to tell what's going on anyway. All it'd take to put me over the edge would be some positive reports from some of you guys who've been shooting similar barrels on your Vudoo rifles...

I found that sub 200y you might be disappointed with the 1-9 compared to your 16t. Once you get to 200-350 you will definitely see some improvements.

I wouldn't even mess with a 9 twist unless you plan to load your own and shoot those solids. Have heard from more than a few people who chased that itch they were not happy with standard 40grn ammo. I have no plans to load my own and will stick with my 16 twist. If anything maybe go a hair faster like a 12-14 but wouldn't go 9 or faster.

I had a 1:9 bartlein put on a 360 when the 360’s first came out. Put a ton of time and rounds through it. Eventually had it rebarreled with a 1:16 Krieger. Expensive experiment.

There's definitely something to it and every fast twist I've built shoots crazy lights out after tens of thousands of rounds and in the hands of many. I have no explanation why others aren't seeing the same or similar results. I do know, after suggesting muzzle threads be removed in favor of a well machined crown, a non-shooter quickly turned into a shooter and placed incredibly well in matches. I had more fast twist blanks arrive today....

This is a long overdue post on my Vudoo 360. I made the decision to up my game on Dec 27, 2020 when I shot my first 400 score(Fclass 50yds).
I spoke to Mike a month later and the long wait began. The rifle arrived Nov 6,2021 and I shot it the same day and most days since. There were some teething issues with the trigger at about 800 rounds and it took a while to get a tuner on it. I finished off a stinker of a lot of SKPM and then started on a lot of SKRM. Yesterday the round count broke 10k. Now that things are warming up here and RIDING SEASON IS ALMOST OVER I may shoot some CenterX. I have 2.5 cases(8 lots) with four cases(4 lots) coming. Because of my remote location lot testing is not viable. I just buy by the case, tune it and shoot it always trying to get the best out of it I can. As far as I can tell I wouldn't be embarressed if I were to show up at a sanctioned match.

As you can see I have a Foundation stock, Harrell tuner w/weight, Harris bipod, a big ol' sack of rice at the back, a Nightforce 15-55 comp, a daypack catching the brass, and the ammo is in the cooler with 2 liters of boiling water. Oh yeah ... trigger is a Bix comp at 2 oz.

These are my home-made wind flags. A year ago I thought I'd never get the hang of flags ... I started with three and have worked my way up to five.

Todays target, another 400. The first one took one and half years, the second one six weeks (anschutz 64 mpr). There was a long drought while I endured the aforementioned stinker lot of SKPM and with this SKRM and my 360 they are a weekly occurrence. Over time I have evolved from measuring groups, to groups and score and now I do score and 40 shot composite group as created in OnTarget as seen below. The large ring on the target is about .9 inches in diameter. The innner rings on the composite are nearly to scale.

That is about as pretty as it gets for me. I sometimes see the mean radius down to .125 but if my scope zero is off I can still drop a point. This 40 shot group measures 18.4mm outside to outside for comparison to Lapua test center results. I feel this shows I have a good tune, the rifle is consistent, I'm not effing up too badly and this is about the best I can expect of this lot of SKRM.

Just to report ... I have never had a FT fire, even down to -22C and I get a FT feed very occassionally, like once in four or five hundred rounds. Fail to eject almost never, like count them on one hand.

This shooting season I am going to run a Vudoo V22S in a Foundation stock with a NF 7-35 scope and a one piece mechanical rest to determine 50 shot accuracy at 100yd and 200yd. Why did you only shoot 40 shots? The other ten shots to "warm up your trigger finger and brain" as @Hoser stated in a post?

I sincerely doubt the better man thing ... I'm just an old dog with a bone. In the cold it is more about having the right clothes. The rain bothers me more than the cold. It seems entirely wrong to stand up and pour water out of the barrel channel.

Because I'm shooting on public land in the woods all my gear comes in by snowmobile or quad so no bench. I had a reply to a post on another forum and the fellow told me I was shooting F Class. I pursued that and found the sanctioning body ... the American Smallbore Shooting Association. On their website I found the rulebook, the scores, and the records. My targets use the exact dimensions of their x,10, and 9 rings. They shoot an 8x5 with best edge scoring, hence the 40 shots.

That little discovery has meant a lot to me. I have rules to follow and yardsticks for comparison. Also, most importantly, the target is large enough in light of my ammo and set up limitations.

Besides my indebtedness to MB, Vudoo, and the ASSA I have to mention Lanny Basham, the author of WITH WINNING IN MIND. I have glommed onto everything I can find on the net that he has done and have read the book more than once. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to progress in sport.

What's the warranty process like for someone in Canada? Is it possible to just get a bolt stop shipped up and fix it myself or would I have to send the action out? Going to be sending emails out to Vudoo and GBT (Canadian dealer) but since it's Easter weekend I'm not expecting replies until Monday. I have a match in two weeks so I just want to know if I need to spend my weekend sourcing another rifle or if it can be fixed in time. Does anyone know how long the turnaround time is on a fix like this (estimate)?

Wrap it with anything. A sandwich bag would work fine. If your case is clean then I wouldn't worry about stuff getting on the bolt.

I use these cheap parts from Amazon to make bolt protectors for my Vudoo and Anschutz... just cut a slot in the clear plastic with an X-acto knife for the handle, and slip on the rubber cap.

I only C4. I clean my whole barrel though, not just the chamber. It shoots great immediately after cleaning, but it does take around 30 rounds to reach it's final velocity.

"Seasoned" barrel for me is 1071 fps. Clean barrel is 1051. And slowly speeds to the 1071 after like 30 rounds.

Update to my broken bolt stop.
VGW is sending me a replacement bolt stop as a temporary fix as their permanent solution requires me to send my action out to their Canadian gunsmith. Apparently the bolt stop wasn't heat treated properly. Doesn't look like the bolt stop will arrive before my match this weekend so I had to come up with my own solution...

A hi-lighter is the perfect length to act as a bolt stop when paired with a MDT ACC. 5 figure rifle with a $1 fix.

This happened in one of our matches and we taped the empty Sk/Lapua cartridge holder to the chassis. It worked great.

Just use some vet wrap and make it part of your chassis decorations.

Update: Pink hi-lighter worked perfectly yesterday and I walked away with 1st place open at my local club ORPS match (Canadian NRL22). I think almost everyone asked me why the heck I had a hi-lighter taped on. One guy thought my folding stock was broken.
