Nice view 1J04! Looks like a nice high pressure sky.
Indeed Mr Nichols. It threatened rain all day. Imagine that. Only gave us a slight sprinkle and today is much the same. 55-58ish and I like it.
I would give my left nut for those temps, that's perfect. Been in the low 90's here the last few days. Received 1/4" of rain today over the lunch hour (we need it) and then the sun came back out. That combo this time of year equates to a sauna.
This would look good next to Tucker's pond.
Pic ain't showing barney....

So before I go to the Dr's Office yesterday I stop by my kids place to kill a few minutes and see what they're up to. Youngest was at work zip lining, eldest was home studying like a good lad. Asked him if any Bucks were in the backyard and he said he hadn't looked lately. Opened the slider and walla, one bedded down next door.
When he's done growing he's gonna be one helluva Columbian Blacktail. I'd shoot that Deer opening morning every year and be tickled to death. He's gonna have it all. So my boy sez he's gonna chum him in closer with some bread. Raining like hell off and on so we just toss some goodies and shut the door. Son looks back out in about 5 mins and sez look out there now Dad.
5 Deer, 5 Bucks. One toe head, but the others are gonna be dandy's. That's really one helluva bachelor group. Had to take one more peek before I left. He's almost in Baseball Bat range.
That is quite a bunch! Hell, just walk up to the one you fancy and throw a halter on him. Tie him up under your apple tree until the season opens...done .
If that was my back yard, they would be quickly inducted into the Big T's pierced ear club. Membership is free if you choose to wreck our young trees, eat garden, etc... Haven't seen one yet that didn't leave the property highly motivated to be somewhere else
1J04 is a brave man. He knows that picture of him will be photoshopped to show him poking Veer's nipple or some such craziness.
Beat me to it. That was the very first thought I had. Tucker harvested that thing the instant he saw it.
That is a great picture however, 1J04. Thanks for sacrificing yourself (as you no doubt knew you were) to share it with us. It is quite a scene.
Cruisin the grasslands today in the '68 baja bug. Stopped and shot a few rounds of 6.5 SAUM then it started raining and got to play in the mud to get home... Now I get to clean...
Sitting on the southwest corner of lake Huron overlooking the Bluewater bridge, and Canada about a mile across.
Port Huron, MI, my wonderful wife's home town.
6:40 this morning watching the sun rise, and 7:50 tonight after a quick thunderstorm.
Sunset on the top, sunrise the bottom.
Gonna take about a week and then head back home.
Watching all these boats drifting down current for walleye and salmon has me wishing I had one to use.
Guess I'll wait a week and use mine when we get back

My 35th high school reunion tonight. First one I've ever attended. Had a lot of fun and should have done it sooner. I would have paid $100 if folks would have had name tags. Of course, "I" haven't changed . Class of 1982 Hooterville High. 73 graduates, 68 still alive, 21 attended. There is a prize for the first one that picks me out of the group
Close. That's the Sheriff of Johnson Co.
Well my gut said 3rd from left darker green shirt, but he looks to unhappy.
Always go with your gut...winner winner chicken dinner. I'm a growly bastard, but sometimes I crack a smile. PM me your address for the prize shipment. No, joke.
Tired of getting bitten. Tired of swatting. Tired of putting on insect repellent.
THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK!
