Maggie’s What's Your View II

A few years ago I walked out real early in the morning and there were the three cats... except I only have two cats. Took a closer look and one was a coon eating from the cat's bowl. He walked right past me, giving me a "What's up Bitch" look, then walked by the cats on the steps. The cats turned their heads when he went by. Evidently the pecking order had been established prior to me going out. I wasn't in the mood to barefoot kick a coon (could have worked beautifully or taken a turn for the worst), so I let it go. Ballsy little bastard.

GLOBAL WARMING AGAIN. SECOND TIME TODAY.

Indeed Mr Nichols. It threatened rain all day. Imagine that. Only gave us a slight sprinkle and today is much the same. 55-58ish and I like it.

I would give my left nut for those temps, that's perfect. Been in the low 90's here the last few days. Received 1/4" of rain today over the lunch hour (we need it) and then the sun came back out. That combo this time of year equates to a sauna.

I believe it. Brother if there is one thing I despise and enjoy avoiding, it's humidity. Sucks the life outta ya. Kinda like my ex-wife, just not as fun.

With two kids playing ball, nearly every evening Monday through Friday has me driving home at sunset or after as the thunderstorms are blowing up. Tonight was the third night this week, just getting home was a bitch. Heavy rain, wind, and hail. We need the rain, but this is getting a bit hairball. My view tonight as Miss Lori was "running radar" while I drove. We are the blue dot...

Well, it certainly went to shit around here. Fricking weather won't let up. Started pouring buckets of water and high winds. I hear Sunday is suppose to be nice. Same view from damn near the same spot.

So before I go to the Dr's Office yesterday I stop by my kids place to kill a few minutes and see what they're up to. Youngest was at work zip lining, eldest was home studying like a good lad. Asked him if any Bucks were in the backyard and he said he hadn't looked lately. Opened the slider and walla, one bedded down next door.

When he's done growing he's gonna be one helluva Columbian Blacktail. I'd shoot that Deer opening morning every year and be tickled to death. He's gonna have it all. So my boy sez he's gonna chum him in closer with some bread. Raining like hell off and on so we just toss some goodies and shut the door. Son looks back out in about 5 mins and sez look out there now Dad.

5 Deer, 5 Bucks. One toe head, but the others are gonna be dandy's. That's really one helluva bachelor group. Had to take one more peek before I left. He's almost in Baseball Bat range. :p

So shitty out. DirtyD's been through this shit once or twice. The Columbia is a bad ass piece of water sometimes.

Cruise ship in Astoria on the right. Pretty big group of them went zip lining at the kids place of employment. Great day to get soaked hanging from a line. Welcome to the PNW pukers.

That is quite a bunch! Hell, just walk up to the one you fancy and throw a halter on him. Tie him up under your apple tree until the season opens...done ;).

If that was my back yard, they would be quickly inducted into the Big T's pierced ear club. Membership is free if you choose to wreck our young trees, eat garden, etc... Haven't seen one yet that didn't leave the property highly motivated to be somewhere else :)

Three more and you would have your team set for December 24th/25th

1J04 is a brave man. He knows that picture of him will be photoshopped to show him poking Veer's nipple or some such craziness.

Beat me to it. That was the very first thought I had. Tucker harvested that thing the instant he saw it.

That is a great picture however, 1J04. Thanks for sacrificing yourself (as you no doubt knew you were) to share it with us. It is quite a scene.

For the good of the team? I'm in. ;) Besides there's zero chance my nemesis would torture me anymore, right? I'm certain he's past all that. Even in the early morning hours while enjoying some joe.:p

Cruisin the grasslands today in the '68 baja bug. Stopped and shot a few rounds of 6.5 SAUM then it started raining and got to play in the mud to get home... Now I get to clean... :)

Sitting on the southwest corner of lake Huron overlooking the Bluewater bridge, and Canada about a mile across.

Port Huron, MI, my wonderful wife's home town.
6:40 this morning watching the sun rise, and 7:50 tonight after a quick thunderstorm.
Sunset on the top, sunrise the bottom.

That is a very cool pic ledzep. Love the contrast. Your Bug reminds me of my eldest sisters boyfriends Bug in the late 60's in California (Fair Oaks). Use to race around at a track and hill climb area. All I remember after all the dimetapp they fed me.
Love that shot man. Dimetapp didn't happen fyi.;)

Living the dream Mike. Beautiful pics again. Hanging for the weekend?

Gonna take about a week and then head back home.
Watching all these boats drifting down current for walleye and salmon has me wishing I had one to use.
Guess I'll wait a week and use mine when we get back

I had no shame growing up in a fishing resort town working the docks cleaning fish and boats as a kid. Always got a fishing trip outta tourists. When I got back to the states here and before I bought my boat I'd hang out with a cooler of beer and sammies and bum a trip. Go bum a trip.:p. No Shame lmao.

My 35th high school reunion tonight. First one I've ever attended. Had a lot of fun and should have done it sooner. I would have paid $100 if folks would have had name tags. Of course, "I" haven't changed ;). Class of 1982 Hooterville High. 73 graduates, 68 still alive, 21 attended. There is a prize for the first one that picks me out of the group :)

Always go with your gut...winner winner chicken dinner. I'm a growly bastard, but sometimes I crack a smile. PM me your address for the prize shipment. No, joke.

You know what Mr. Nichols, I'm not Gluten Free but as we know am a Glutton For Punishment. Having stated the obvious I'll play. I'm gonna send my dope and if I get a dead Starling in the mail I'm gonna post it up, just say'n. ;)
My train of thought on deciding which was you, knowing what we know about each other and being a reader of people, I was struck immediately by the reserved gent 3rd from the left. But then I did what I do from time to time and talked myself outta it cuz the Sheriff, while jovial, looked the part, but not like a pilot. ;)

Tired of getting bitten. Tired of swatting. Tired of putting on insect repellent.

It is a GREAT thread. The "Troll" that got this going did a great job I'd say.
Now don't leave us hanging Tucker. Just what in the hell do you have going on here? You rub those bowls down with vaseline or what?

Went out yesterday. This is my old deer hunting grounds from when I was a child. Snow kept us from getting to the top and to our "spot". I will try again in a few weeks. 20170617_135558.jpg

So This snow bank was on a south facing slope. About a mile long, 400ish yards wide and in the middle 20ft deep still. Just imagine how deep it was in march. for reference I am 6' 1".
