Got out today to shoot it and I am very pleased. Here is how it preformed at 50 yards with a variety of ammo in 10 shot groups.
Finally got my Manzella Ace to the range and couldn't be more impressed. It hammers. Took me close to a box of shells to get the new scope and chassis tuned in since I didn't have the luxury of in close shots to see where the scope was. Finally, I dialed down the magnification and saw where it was hitting when aiming at a shadow in the sand. This group was with the cheapest Eley and from past experience, when I get a few hundred rounds through the pipe and break out the SK it,will perform. Thanks MIke, great work. Any one wanting a Vudoo Rimx comparison, I sent the Vudoo off. It shot great but the Rimx is so much smoother, I had to stay wih it. Sorry about the size, I should have selected thumbnail.
You should be able to find inventory at Altus Shooting Solutions, Front Range Precision, Bison Tactical or Northland Shooters Supply. If not, we have more in house ready to be engraved and assembled next week. Our website will have them in stock by the end of next week.

We've got those in production now. We'll have them out for anodize and back in 3-4 weeks.
+1 billet extension and +1 follower but the overall mag height doesn't change. The Rimx springs are fantastic so going with this means you get the same form factor without having to worry about the spring pressure.
12 round mag? Probably going to "need" this! I like the 15 rounders but don't really like loading them after I can't get ahold of the loading tabs.
I'm not knocking the 15rd mags because I love how well they're made. The 12rd was kind of Leon's mad scientist moment when he wanted to make it keep the loading assist and most importantly wanted it to be the same size as the factory 10rd

Was just talking to Mike @ Manzella. Hes just finishing up my 3 new RimX barrels and about to ship. GM 1.2" straight, Krieger 1.2" straight and a ACE 1.2" straight.
He said hes got 3 ACE RimX barrels cut and ready to go if anyone is looking. They just need to be chopped to length and muzzle work done to customers desired length... Hes got a 1.2" Straight, VCC and M24 left.

just out of curiosity, what kinda 50 and 200 yard groups does a rifle like that produce cutting the muzzle end like that?

Consistent high 0.1s to low 0.2's with lot tested Lapua @ 50yd over 50rd agg.. 0.5moa 100yd 30rd 6x5 agg.. 200yd shooting 1.25" 10 shot groups consistently with lot tested R50 and RWS Special Match with many 0.75" 10 shot groups.
Make a video of a 1" 10 shot group at 200 yards and Phil at MPA will give you 1000.00, we have 5 and 6 shot groups at or or just under an inch but 10 has been hard, usually 1.5" for 10 if it's a calm day
Isn’t it standard practice to remove an inch from either end? I understand how more than that off the muzzle could be concerning.
The inch is get you out of the area that will generaly be over size from Lapping. Theoretically the tight spot on a rimfire barrel will be at the 1" mark but safest bet is to slug each barrel to know for certain you are cutting and crowing at the optimal spot.
If I can video through the optic of a 10 shot group at 200y of 1" or less MPA will give me a $1000 certificate to order a chassis???
ACE actually taper laps their blanks to customer specified length and marks the cut point for the smith... my 3 ACE barrels I ordered I gave them my finish length and they taper lap to that length and mark where to cut..

200 yards, it was a comment made to us by Phil when we were testing. We have done it before just never on video.
I'll go through my barrel testing and grab some pics to post up when I get a chance. As to shooting videos for money, no thx.
Calm days and good ammo are the key @ 200yd. Ammo thst shoots lights out at 50 and 100 haven't been the best at 200 for us.
RWS R50 heavily lot tested has been the key for us at 200yd shooting groups.
I have the Trigger cam and lot tested ammo that shoots well. It will give me a reason to shoot some more!!
Did you call and talk to Nathan and specify a taper lapped blank choked to a specific finish length ? Or just placed an order for ACE 22rf blanks?
They do both. I had Nathan taper lap a choke in mine to a 22-in finish length on both my Ace blanks one is a 1" straight to test on a 2500x that I havent installed yet and the other one is a 1.2" straight on my RimX.

Gotcha. So just an FYI, when I spoke to Nathan about getting a few ACE barrels for testing 8 months ago, he informed me that if you call and ask for the barrel to be choked to a specific cut off point, they actually partially cut the choke into the barrel when cutting the rifling and then finish the choke off lapping at the end. They then mark the barrel on where it should be chopped for the choke..
For general retail sales when someone places an order, there is an additional fee for this service ( I believe $50 or $75 but don't quote me on that, I dont remember the exact cost he told me). I am not sure if they do this same process for rimfire blank orders that a choke was not specified... Thats why I was asking...
I can slug and mark in a few minutes then measure back the desired length, so ordering 27" blanks is the easiest method for me
I think slugging is for sure the way to go since it's the tried and true process but I wonder what the difference would be? Like if you made a perfect barrel that was cut based on the tightest spot, then cut it down another 2 inches and recrowned it. When benchrest was king people would do anything for an extra .1 but for PRS I wonder if it would be noticed from a bipod and bag.
that is a good question but when you miss do you wonder if your rifle was a tad more accurate would you have hit it?, doubt is your worst enemy. A lot of people say a 1 moa rifle is all you need which is probably true but I can tell you the top shooters are running the tightest group shooting rifles they can get these days
Manzella finished my 22" M24 barrel on monday. Based on Padom's testing I was hoping for a Krieger blank, but the only ones he had available were ace. I told him if they were good enough for him they're good enough for me
Recent Eley Match lot test on separate days to confirm consistency. 5 shot groups unless otherwise noted.
~1000 rds on barrel prior to test, 26" ACE (VCC contour) / Eachus (much thanks to Mike Manzella). MPA Matrix with Triggertech Diamond and missing cheek rest (oops). Bushnell MPED 5-30.
I'd probably shoot any of these lots in NRL22 with preference to the first and last.

That's looking really good! I also have a Eley Match test brick and found out these last few weeks my 22lr Match Eachus chamber loves it even though I designed it to shoot Lapua
The recent comments on this thread are making me consider a Rim X although I have a Vudoo and a Curtis 22lr conversion.
I had JElrod set up a Vudoo. I wanted to compare it to my Rimx. I traded it off. The Rimx is so butter smooth, the Vudoo not so much.
I spent some time talking with Kevin Nevius when looking at different chamber profiles. His take, after doing a lot of testing with Eley and Lapus was that the Eley does better with the 2 degree chamber, like your chamber, Lapua, 1 1/2 degrees. I think the beauty of your design is that it does so well with both.
I always shot Lapua/SK, FGM UM, and RWS R50 and Special Match. Never played with Eley until recently but the test lot brick I got of Eley Match shot lights out so I grabbed 2 cases of the 2 best shooting lots..
