No, I can confirm there is no button to just turn the display off. A short press of the menu button while the screen is on is an unused button though, I wonder if they could turn it into a display off button in a firmware update. That might actually be pretty cool.I own Fury 5000 G2 without the AB. Even its sparse display bugs me a bit as it stays on a while.
I think IIRC on my unit if I click the Mode button once while the display is on,then the display turns off. Something like that.
Edit: just walked out to the car to check. If the range display is on, if one holds the Mode button down for a bit you enter into settings. Then you immediately hold the Mode button down again to return to Range mode. The display doesn’t turn off but all that is now shown is the crosshairs and some tiny stuff…the large numbers are gone. Not perfect but better than before.
I wonder if the X works like that as well?
