X - Vectronix Shooting Solutions

I own Fury 5000 G2 without the AB. Even its sparse display bugs me a bit as it stays on a while.

I think IIRC on my unit if I click the Mode button once while the display is on, then the display turns off. Something like that.

Edit: just walked out to the car to check. If the range display is on, if one holds the Mode button down for a bit you enter into settings. Then you immediately hold the Mode button down again to return to Range mode. The display doesn’t turn off but all that is now shown is the crosshairs and some tiny stuff…the large numbers are gone. Not perfect but better than before.

I wonder if the X works like that as well?
No, I can confirm there is no button to just turn the display off. A short press of the menu button while the screen is on is an unused button though, I wonder if they could turn it into a display off button in a firmware update. That might actually be pretty cool.

Been out in montana running the vector x’s to try and turn up some mule deer and antelope. Coming from leica geovid pro’s 10x42, i find the vectors better across the board. To my eye they are far superior to the leicas in color, resolution, and the lazer is far more capable. I am very happy i went with them. The focus i find to be very forgiving when panning across hillsides, only issue so far is the plate fell off the focus wheel.

I think the 10x is a winner for hunters with its wider fov. It's the one I'm almost 99% sure I'm buying.

Going to reach out to their support but I wonder if anyone else has this issue.

I am getting a vastly different output from what is shown on the kestrel when connected. The hud shows 2-3 times the correct amount of adjustment.

When I disconnect the kestrel the drop from the vector x is within .02 moa of what is should be.

For example, separately at 150yds the kestrel will show .19 moa and the vector x will show .18 moa of drop. When connected the kestrel still shows .19 but the vector x will show .55 moa

(Yes, I'm still using moa)

Edit: after some fiddling it seems to be a glitch related to multiple gun profiles. Also it looks like the check box for selecting a profile does not correspond with the selected profile. If only one profile is loaded, no problems.

I got my 10x last week. Laser was perfectly centered for windage, maybe .1 mil or less high for elevation. Well within what I’d consider acceptable, and I had no issues hitting an moa target at 500, will have an opportunity to test it further this weekend. I don’t understand the criticisms I’ve read about the focus knob. Yes it has a little bit of lash back and forth, but nothing excessive and it’s incredibly easy to focus. Depth of field is also so forgiving that I don’t find myself really needing to refocus much anyway.

Image is VERY good, laser and AB is great, and the UI is Intuitive and quick to use. Fits my purposes very well.

My only real complaint is that the eyebox (for lack of a better term) is a little touchy with the HUD, where if you’re not on it just right you’ll cut off part of the display. It’s not terrible by any means though. The flip covers on the other hand… Also, I’d like to see programmable shortcuts in the future as the only one I’m currently likely to use is the range card screen. Having shortcuts for wind or gun profiles would be much more useful.
