I took a file to my mag catch. actually I had my gunsmith show me. it was so simple I felt stupid for asking for assistance but it was my first time on such a project so I wanted experienced hands.
if it's too tight, file a tiny Lil bit more until it feels perfect, then stop.

I sent them a product suggestion email for the Medium Action CDG....no response but I didn't really expect one. I just wanted to put it on their radar. Maybe you/others who are interested should send them emails as well. I think most businesses keep some sort of tally for product suggestions.

Semi retarded question here.
Can you buy a savage small shank barreled nut prefit and then simply have a smith do the cone breech afterward ? since you control the headspace via the barrel nut, it should work ?

Yes. The bolt head exchange is pretty straightforward if you are at least mildly mechanically inclined. Ted’s bolt disassembly and assembly vid is very helpful.

I bought mine with a Lapua bolt head and then changed my mind and bought the magnum head to make a 7PRC. The swap was not hard.
