Thanks man, I didn’t want to pull it apart either. But @TheGrabiod gave me some advice after I already did. But I think it would work if you slide the stock trigger shoe forward. Then pull the trigger and can use something to keep the trigger in the “fired” position then slide the old shoe off and new shoe on. Or you can curse the rear action bolt to death like I did until I found a 5/32 ball head driver.I've got the flat shoe here, been sitting on it for about 6 months... Yes I believe that one was discontinued by RRS. I’d look at Sawtooth’s Arca rail for the AT. It lets the gun sit lower vs the RRS rails.
Ya I got a spigot from elite iron for my bipod it gets it out front and closer the bore. I may just the RRS rail that stop flush with the fore end
Seeing reports from shot show indicating AI may replace the AT with the AT-X line. As in eliminate the AT

Someone here referred to the MC as "mostly a prone gun" and that's really resonated with me.
Still extremely happy with mine but I wouldn't recommend selling a short action AI to move to an MC or SR.

Yes I recall being told the same. But if finances dictate and the ELR itch grows, I may not have a choice.

having owned and competed with an AX and now an AT, I much prefer the AT over the AX. If AI did the transfer from magwel handguard to tube more like Cadex I'd have an AX now. That sharp drop always found a way to F me like an angry pimp when trying to set up on obstacles, it is a very nice mostly prone gun though, was always super comfortable. If I was serious about competing again and just just doing it every now and then id probably have an AT-X or drop my AT in an AO chassis, both are a lot more geared for the game, but the AT is just too sexy.

I love my AXSR with all my heart, but why in god's name did they put the rear receiver bolt directly under the mag catch?? The only ball end I've found that can actually get to it is a allen wrench, and I want a 1/4" bit extension but can't find one with enough approach angle. I really don't want to knock the mag catch out every time I want to check torque.
It's a rhetorical question, they did it that way because that's the way the geometry worked out, I know.

Looks like it's time to get some Fix It Sticks, been thinking about it anyway. So, you can use the torque driver with the extended bit and get in there?
Yea. But just a heads up…their bit quality blows. I replaced all of my FiS bits with Wiha but haven’t had a chance to hunt down a Wiha extended ball bit. So far the extended ball hasn’t been used enough to show me if it too is worthless.
Those mag catch pins are directional also. So something to keep in mind before hammering em out and messing up the holes. And that mag catch sucks to put back in. This AT is the one rifle I’ll never sell. No plans to sell the MC either but it comes down to it the AT still is king in this castle

Used the 300NM barrel today on the AXMC to connect on a 1 mile cold bore shot, then hit 8 out of 9. 230 Atips,2980fps, winds 8-9 at 7:30, The MC is getting old and beat up but still performs.
Finally got an AIAT I’ve been wanting for awhile. Just waiting on a set of scope rings. I took the skins off and took the barrel off to make sure everything was clean and put some anti seize on the barrel threads. I removed the quick change screw completely unintentionally but I minded the smaller wash as not to lose it and reinstalled it, the barrel and torque it to 49in/lb. I then noticed in the manual that it says not to completely remove the quick change screw… oops. I assume this is so you don’t lose the screw and/or washer. Correct?
