That's funny. Ive never loved any timney, but the absolute worst was the CE two stage. Pure garbage.God, the Timney 2 stage I had at one point was a piece of shit. Maybe putting it in a CDG is the secret?

I've been running this ( pivoting handle, two stage) with medium sear and zero problems. Will the Tacsport pro x require the fixed handle? What triggers are recommended for the pivoting handle?
Dunno. Maybe @GBMaryland will comment.God, the Timney 2 stage I had at one point was a piece of shit. Maybe putting it in a CDG is the secret?
Yup, it clears when the bolt is open. Not a big deal to me, don't need to fold it often. How about when the bolt isn’t closed? From here it looks as if the bolt were open, the folder would work.
The decision to go with the AW mags is the perfect decision. They feed like butter and are nice and compact for a 10 round mag. When the mag gets down to about half empty I can hardly feel them strip off and chamber. To the point I had to check the first few I ran in. Im 580 rounds in and 0 fail to feeds, slow, fast, whatever. This is my first rifle that runs AW mags and I cant imagine building another SA .473 bolt head rifle with AICS again.I'm not sure about the design decision to go with AW mags when the R700 footprint world is designed around AICS mags.
Not having that experience at all. I ordered one that was set at 2lb/8oz for the two stage (Part# 532)That's funny. Ive never loved any timney, but the absolute worst was the CE two stage. Pure garbage.
I had to *very* carefully tune my TT with the hangar, but once set correctly, it's buttery smooth. Absolutely zero felt hangups or cock on open/close.I’ve got three CDG actions and we installed a TT in one and a Timney in the other.
The Timney/CDG combo is like butter, the TT is not exactly there… once adjusted properly in the trigger hangar.
Pre-2013? Or after?Nothing is like a TRG trigger, nothing.
I’ve got post-2013. I struggle to describe why perhaps due to vocabulary, but first of all the position of the trigger is adjustable fore-aft, about the horizontal axis, and about the vertical axis (rotation of trigger face) so it’s heinously more functional in that sense than any R700 pattern trigger so I can get it to fit me/my hand/my preferences very easily whereas with the R700 I’m relying on the grip to position my hand ideally. Second, I like the shoe feel and shape of course. Third, so far as the actual trigger mechanics the first stage take-up length is something I’ve struggled to replicate in either BnA TacSport (not Pro) and TT Diamond (also the next tier down, primary or special). For the overall weight of the pull, it is an exceptional trigger with distinct first stage travel (and weight) with a solid second stage break.Pre-2013? Or after?
How is it different (to you) than a BnA Tacsport Pro?
If I were buying a BnA today I’d think about the Pro-X, but really it’s much lighter than I need - that’s what keeps me from TT Diamond and similar triggers as well.I think I’m leaning towards the BnA Tacsport Pro-X and adjusting it to work well with the pivoting handle.
Any recommendations on CF prefits (6.5 Creed so I want the conical breech)? I’ve seen Preferred Barrel Blanks and Straight Jacket Armory have them, didn’t know if there was a preference between the two (or for another barrel)
TT primary single stage. 0.2355" pin fall measured near the top of the cocking piece.I’m not measuring any cock on close, but it feels more like a TL3 than a Defiance if that makes sense.
Which TT model and what’s your measured pin fall?
I measured a pin fall of .245TT primary single stage. 0.2355" pin fall measured near the top of the cocking piece.
I have not fired this yet so still need to see how she shoots and if there is consistent ignition. What are other folks measurements/results here?
I’ve spun up:I think I’m leaning towards the BnA Tacsport Pro-X and adjusting it to work well with the pivoting handle.

I found that, even after tuning the triggers, the TT was just a little less butter smooth than the Timney.I had to *very* carefully tune my TT with the hangar, but once set correctly, it's buttery smooth. Absolutely zero felt hangups or cock on open/close.
The only thing I wished for was a tighter fit in the hangar for limiting side to side motion, which I solved with a few things shims/ washers.
The mill to relieve the trigger hanger a bit...for safety lever maybe? After 5 minutes with the 7 axis mill
On the recently shipping long actions that seems to be true. The mill to relieve the trigger hanger a bit...for safety lever maybe?
And...do I understand it correctly that Ted has modified the trigger hanger in more recent production to provide more clearance and eliminate this need. Is this correct?
I love the Tubb triggers too! They are really great!! They have a very distinctive 2nd stage wall and are fully adjustable with pull weight and length of travel. I have a hard time shooting single stage triggers anymore because of them. I was disappointed the CDG trigger hangar couldn't accommodate them. I bought a Bix-N Andy Tacsport 2-stage to try on my CDG - whenever it shows up.Sigh --- didnt see this when I ordered ... am a Tubb shooter.
HI Sentinel!
Short story yes.So did ARC stop making mags ... went to order a new knob for my CDG and no mention of em.
Precisely. The mill to relieve the trigger hanger a bit...for safety lever maybe?

Anyone running a CDG with pivot in an HNT26?
Were there any modifications needed?
I have a LA in a HNT26 with no issues. Cycles rounds through a AICS magazine with no problems. Were there any modifications needed?
AW mags were tight to release at first. They have worn into the factory latch perfect after call it 30-40 mag changes. I recommend AW mags if your caliber will allow. They are awesome.Yes and the only one I needed was a slightly lower mag latch to work with AICS mags, I reached out to MDT and they sent me all the sizes so I could find which one worked best. I’ll have to double check but I believe it was the -2mm.

AW 223 would be sweet.Allegedly, he's working on something new, but we'll see how that goes.

Yes. Left-handed short action.Has anybody's wait on their action surpassed 5 months yet?
Most of the pre-orders have taken longer than 5 months.Has anybody's wait on their action surpassed 5 months yet?
