Ill have to take a look at mine tonight. So far its been working well. I first had issues getting the magazine set correctly. It would be feeding fine but the mag was sitting so high it was ejecting the brass off the mag. Now I have it sitting low enough that its not doing that but if i run the bolt super super slow sometimes it doesn't catch the rim and the round kind of just pops out the mag. Usually happens on the last round.
I still need to do more shooting with it but so far its a cool little gun and most if not all the time its catching the rim and is smooth.

Baracuda22 - Can't see the tensioner in your photo clearly enough to be able to tell if it's been stoned to that shape, or is truly broken. The full-sized tensioner in the other photo can be problematic, causing rough feeding & ejection problems. Do some looking at photos in posts in this thread as well as jbell's 'failure to fire' thread to get a look at several tensioners that have been stoned by Zermatt or owners. When I stoned mine, I focused on making a radius over the bottom 1/4 of the part; yours was either broken, or someone stoned about twice as much metal off it as I did on mine.

Just received my RimX action with a Green Mountain barrel chambered by Keystone Accuracy and I have been having intermittent troubles chambering a round and difficult bolt closure. No troubles with feeding or extraction. I have shot about 500 rounds through it and the frequency has not changed. There does not seem to be a pattern for when the troubles arise. I have 3 magazines and have the same trouble with all of them. I have tried SK Standard Plus, Center X, & Midas+.
myself and a friend had this issue with keystone chambers from the start. mags adjusted correctly and functioning properly. 500-1000 rounds later and its completely gone. no changes made besides rounds through the gun

They are both broken,I send my bolt to zermatt for complete assessment/diagnose replace parts before send it back.I dont want to mess up the TENSIONER right now and damage it in the process also i dont have time to sit and fix the problem right now. Those are all manufactory original never been touch or removed, this complete bolt see a very very tiny shots on it so far i really dont shoots that much at this moment. The left bolt come with the #25 actions and works perfectly so far no problem IN CHAMBER/EJECTION AT THIS TIME this has only less than 60 shots so far.
flandland so far i dont see tensioner been hone here and on jbell thread(only trigger sears topic there)if you have time can you share video or picture of your bolt face with the honed works.👍

I thought I'd pass this along. I machined a new barrel for my rimx (I didn't like the prefit). Interestingly, after adjusting the mags again and shooting a couple dozen rounds I discovered I had not reinstalled the extractor. I had zero issues extracting both fired and unfired rounds with just the tensioner which surprised me. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised?

Very interesting...

My RimX/Green Mountain barreled action came in today. Put a TT Diamond on it and put it in a Bravo. With the storm coming to the west of us conditions were not great but shooting at the house I’m blocked enough to wait out the bad stuff.

The good
1. Machining looks great
2. Shows potential with Eley Action that I have a pile of.
3. Action is smooth and feeds great

The bad
1. About half the rounds in every mag have lite strikes. Recock and fires every time.
2. The Eley Action that it likes you have to bump the bolt forward to chamber. I know this chamber is set up for SK/Lapua. If
it shoots it good it doesn’t bother me.
3. Tried two SK made ammo and it shot like shit. Over an inch with both after running two rounds down the barrel.

The two ten shot groups are actually 11 because I aimed at bullet holes. Top left in the bottom and bottom left on top. Included the aiming holes in the group size. Wind got worse before I shot the 6x5 so I don’t think is bad with a hurricane currently hitting my state. I think it will do mid to low .3s in good conditions with that ammo. 52 yards

That's strange. I found the Eley to chamber easier than the SK/Lapua having to push a little harder for the Lapua.

I've been doing a lot of testing and have found I need more than just two to foul for the next manufacturer. Most times it's three but definitely more than two. Try that and see if makes a difference.

I'm running a .223 suppressor on mine rather than my rimfire cans. It adds weight and more resembles my match rifle. I'll have to take it off and see what happens other than my neighbors will now know how often I'm shooting.

Not so much issues but a tenth or two larger group on my Vudoo. Tried an Octane 45 and it shot like it did bare muzzle. Bought one but ended up buying the QB before the Octane 45 showed up. Plus I wanted an extra pound on the end of the barrel to help balance. My rimfire suppressor is an AAC Element 2.

Gotcha. My Rugged Oculus is shooting lights out on my Krieger RimX.

With having to bump the bolt to get it to chamber check a few rounds and see if your crashing into the breech and damaging the bullet.

Shot ten of each ammo before shooting groups. Was planning on shooting mainly SK out of this gun. Ordered 6k of them from plus to rifle match. About a third of the Eley rounds I have to bump the bolt with the palm of my hand.

Maybe it would shoot a tad better in the prone and without the suppressor..?
Believe it or not I have no problem shooting in the .2-.3 range from my little bench if the gun will do it. I live in Louisiana so I’m sure you can see the weather we are getting. Was not expecting one hole groups but was able to shoot the two ten shots before the 35+ mph swirling winds kicked up. Can’t shoot prone because of how my land is laid out. Have a small hill between the bench and targets. Typically shoot suppressed at my home range.

How many lots have you purchased and tested of each ammo type? Are you lot testing?
The lots I tried shoot good in all my other rifles. Same lots I posted my 6x5 targets with. Was very surprised to see inch plus groups with them. Went back to the Eley and shot some .2-.4 inch groups after that. I only have around 50-100 rounds through the barrel so I’m sure it will get better.

I have a bunch of ammo/lots that shoot great in one barrel and doesn't in the other. I have $5000+ in ammo ive tested and shot since March/April in my RimX. Countless lots of SK+, SK RM and CX. Ammo is the single biggest factor in 22lr. You need to test lots of CX, SK RM and SK+ till you find some of each that the barrel likes.

I had some SK that shot mediocre in some of my RimX test barrels and shot in the .1's in another barrel. Welcome to 22lr

Don’t worry I don’t mind testing. Had four months after I ordered the barreled action to get some st to play with. Other than sending it off for testing it does no good to try to chase down a lot right now. When things get back to normal I will do some lot testing when I can actually get more of a good lot.
28AAABDA-9309-4E0E-A945-3FFDB0E7F163.jpeg Think I will be good with stuff to test for a little while. Added this to the stuff I already had in the last month or so. One of the lots of plus and PMS I tried to order a few cases of but no luck. For now I just dedicate the bricks to the gun that really like them.

New .22lr barrels need 100rds before they start grouping well.
Normally shoot 500 or more before I even start ammo testing but could not wait with this one. Hunting season is on me and I have a lot to get ready so just shoot when I can. Was just very surprised to see inch plus groups with ammo that averages in the .2-.35 range in 5-6 guns.

Not saying it’s not happening but the rounds I watched feed go straight into the chamber. The bolt has full control of the round before it nears the chamber. Guess maybe some rounds are not going high enough in the bolt face and causing the hard to close bolt. Seems like SK feeds perfect.

Ran a 100 or so more rounds through it then shots some groups. This gun will definitely tell you what ammo it doesn’t like but I have not found ITS ammo. Still having a lot of lite strikes don’t know if it’s gun or trigger and some hard to chamber rounds. Seems to not be a problem with SK or I’m just not noticing it as much. Maybe it needs a little mag tweaking even though the rounds I watched are going straight into the chamber. Did better today with SKRM but not what I will call good by any means.

Just spent the last 1/2 hour or more just running rounds through the action. Definitely feeding issues. One mag full will run perfect then the next nothing but problems. Tried everything from as tight as I could get it and still lock in to loose. Some I had to get out with the cleaning rod and a few that popped out of the mag on to the ground. Guess this could be causing my lack of accuracy. Any suggestion?

Your rounds are not going into the extractor/tensioner. Mine at first had these same issues. What I’ve done is 1. No longer use the 5rd. Extensions 2. Got new tensioner’s from Zermatt that already have the angle on them 3. Stretched the springs on the 10rd mags. Since then I’ve shot 4 matches and about another 600rds just plinking and shooting groups and have had zero feeding issues.

Guess I’m going to have to contact them. Having about 40% lite strikes also with a TT Diamond. Guess it is a little let down after having a good run with a pile of rimfire purchases this year.

Those groups are not bad to me. You just got the one shot curse.

I'm kinda stressing my 2 builds... I was in the process of picking up a couple vudoos when I got talked into the rimx/keystone sale. My 2 barreled actions are sitting at my local FFL. Been on vaca and havent picked them up. Both have GM barrels. Both will have TT Diamonds, and be in Bravos. I sure hope I dont run into a bunch of issues I have to fiddle with. They seem to be a little finicky and not really what I want to deal with to be honest. Fingers crossed things go smoothly....

This is what I was talking about earlier when I referenced a tuning relationship between the tensioner and a chamfer on the breech of the chamber. I would try taking your tensioner out and beveling the 90* corner on the bottom of the hook. Where the rim pushes the tensioner out of the way. It might also be worth looking to see if the tip of the tensioner is making contact with the case wall like flat flatland was talking about. Just shortening the tip of hook.

And then there's the chamfer. The sharp edge on the back of the chamber can also bind up the cases and keep them from sliding up the bolt face. If you can pull your barrel you can bevel the that sharp edge on the back of the chamber.

Are the case walls of those rounds you ran through the gun dented?

Chamber has a radius. Enough so it leaves a small round belt on the case. No dent that I can see.

Anyone want my slot for a Keystone Accuracy 20" Benchmark , Heavy Palma Sport, Tac Sport Pro Single Stage? I ordered it on May 18 and still have heard anything yet. I might cancel, really don't want to encounter all these problems because I am new to this and don't have time to tinker around.
