In my earlier post above, where I said US GDP was 1.6% so far this year......
In typically government fashion, they publish fake info, then later they quietly "revise" it down. Apparently, the corrected number is 1.3%.

So far, pretty much every single month when they publish jobs numbers, GDP, etc, the just outright lie, so as to not spook the markets. Then later, they quietly "revise" it, to publish the real numbers.
I’ve been reading a bit about Hitlers thinking recently. The long and short of it was that WW2, for the nazis, was always a racial war. At least for now no war ,as NATO more or less depleted its stocks in Ukraine and Israel so till some new capacity comes on line they are happy to keep Ukraine in play. Folks that think depleted is stretching it , most of Nato Europe has ammo for about 2 days of shooting ,Last German assessment of their military capability is that they could fight and hold a single city in Germany . Nato power lies in US and in Europe its the Turks that are the only semi capable fighting force . With exception of Airpower Ukrainian army is magnitudes stronger than any EU Nato memeber state , its probably stronger then UK , German and French land forces combined (sure these have navies and airforces) but in terms of tanks,armor,artillery,infanty Ukraine outnumbers them.

The propaganda around this war was and remains to be heavy - perhaps the most propagandized war in our lifetime. We were told that this war was a "war of aggression", and "unprovoked", which is totally untrue and discounts decades of history between the US and Russia. Most notably our successful overthrow of the democratically elected Ukraine president Yanukovych, which was accomplished by the CIA aligning with Ukraine far-right factions. We did that in a provocation to Russia, so we could militarize thousands of km's of Russia's border through NATO. Yanukovych wanted to be a neutral buffer, which to a sane person is the most reasonable thing for Ukraine. This war started in 2014, not 2022.
