It was also the most expensive movie in the history of the world, nothing else comes even remotely close in terms of talent, effort of the people and government, and money. Just an example - USSR has used close to 100,000 active duty solders, dressed and armed exactly how the French and Russian military has done it in 1812, with a bunch of real 18-19 century cannons and and God knows how many horses, etc., to shoot the scene of the battle of Borodino (3rd series of the movie).
But here is just a very small episode, which is crazy good, music is actually not from the movie, but it is the most popular waltz in the world, Waltz #2, also known as Russian Waltz, created by D. Shostakovitch and brilliantly performed by Andre Reiu orchestra.
At any rate, just wanted to share something positive after many of us have had all kinds of nightmarish thoughts over the past few years:

I was not paying attention. You posted the Russian version, made about ten years after the American one. Have you seen both? Is the Russian version better? I have not seen either one. I have the book on my shelf but have not yet read it.

I did read nearly the whole book, as it was a part of Russian literature education requirement in my school (in Moscow).
I did watch American version. Although actors tried hard and had talent, it never worked to convey the idea, spirit and scale of the book. In general, there are no movies made (which I've personally watched) by the West about Russia which were sufficiently close to reality. But same was true for Russians trying to make movies about Americans - no success either. Interestingly, Russians did manage to understand these reality related issues, and for example, many serious movies made in 1970s-1980s about USSR war with Germany had actors from Eastern Germany, who played Germans and only spoke German... At least, they look realistic on the screen. A great example is the other epic USSR movie, called "Liberation", where absolutely all German historical figures on the screen were actually Germans.

I read last night that Putin and numerous Russian Cabinet members did indeed offer their congratulations to Trump through back channels. They didn't feel that they could do that publicly just yet.

The point is Obama/Biden when they started this shit in 2014 would only supply none lethal aid. Trump Started giving them actual weapons. Something the Obama/Bidens refused to do.
Things changed greatly when Russia saw Biden's ineptitude in taking decisive action to a perceived Russian invasion with their lead from behind tactics in 2022. While obviously Bidens admin gave more, things changed when Russia made its big push.

Except for being a democrat, my daughter is very smart, able and a small business owner,
Has anyone out there heard anything similar?
I've looked at every Ukraine war media that I could find both pro Ukraine and pro Commie and found nothing.

It's been maybe a year, but I have seen small cannisters of some type of nerve agent dropped from drones into trenches on purported Ukrainian troops. It was pretty gruesome.

Seems doubtful and I’ve seen nothing suggesting chemical weapons use recently. Ukraine has for the last couple weeks been pushing out fake vids with things like NK wounded or passports found on dead NK soldiers.
The best approach is to assume 100% of what comes out of Ukraine to be lies and trying to verify certain stories rather than believe what the say and try to spot fakes, this way you’ll naturally filter a ton of BS.
