Well, this is very off topic, sorry about it. But I do feel a lot more optimistic now after Nov. 5th election results.
And so:
Not sure how many of you know about "War and Peace" movie, made around 1965+/- a couple of years in the Soviet Union, which, I personally think, is the greatest movie ever made. It was also the most expensive movie in the history of the world, nothing else comes even remotely close in terms of talent, effort of the people and government, and money. Just an example - USSR has used close to 100,000 active duty solders, dressed and armed exactly how the French and Russian military has done it in 1812, with a bunch of real 18-19 century cannons and and God knows how many horses, etc., to shoot the scene of the battle of Borodino (3rd series of the movie).
But here is just a very small episode, which is crazy good, music is actually not from the movie, but it is the most popular waltz in the world, Waltz #2, also known as Russian Waltz, created by D. Shostakovitch and brilliantly performed by Andre Reiu orchestra.
At any rate, just wanted to share something positive after many of us have had all kinds of nightmarish thoughts over the past few years:
